OT rule change and the stupidity of NFL owners (except the Colts and Eagles)

Soo... Game goes into OT. I guess everyone will defer now. No point scoring first when you can see/know what you have to do and have all four downs to do it when you get the ball second.

Also I don't agree.. ot in the most urgent time of year, has lost its urgency

I was fine with the way it was.  Team that scores first wins.

If you’re fine with first score wins, then you should be fine with doing away with the coin-flip to determine who gets the ball first.  Because if first score wins, who possesses the ball first is extremely important/borderline unfair in todays offense-friendly NFL.

If first score wins, they should start OT like the beginning of a dodgeball game and place the ball at the 50, then line up your 11 players at the 20 or 25 or whatever, and whichever team recovers the ball at midfield gets first possession. Because that’s fair.

Right? That won’t lead to unnecessary injuries, right? Surely there’s not a different way to give both teams a fair chance to win in OT without risking an increase in player injuries…

Nah, nothing is more fair than a 50/50 coin flip.
