i honestly think that Bob will stay healthy b/c the front 7 in S.D. know how to stop the run. Bob will be playing in the backfield.

To be fair, I have heard the term "defensive backfield" numerous times. As in, first level (D-line) second level (Linebackers) third level (secondary).

In breaking news Chargers safety Bob Sanders will miss entire season with a blister from spinning a football.

His contract is one year and at the low end of pay for a veteran. I have a feeling he really wants to prove he can still make it through a season so he can get one last big contract to retire on. The Fans see this as a gamble and a low cost one at that. With the Bolts propensity for slow starts it is hoped that he can make the difference the Bolts need to get out of the gate with a good start. Nobody in San Diego are deluding themselves that this is anything more than a gamble. The upside could mean a Lombardi before we lose the Bolts to LA, or maybe it will galvanize the city to get a stadium built here and save our beloved Bolts. I am sure that Bob Sanders would love another Ring.
