The Panthers are one of many bad organizations that apparently do stupid things. 

First they move on from Cam, even though he led them to a super bowl and a 15-1 record. After a couple of seasons they find themselves in a position to draft a potential franchise QB but instead draft a corner back. And then they trade for Sam Darnold....yes the flop from the jets. "Hoping" he was a bust because he was coached down by Adam Gase and the dysfunctional jets. Now they know that wasn't the case.

And now they bring back Cam

I have a colleague who is a Panthers fan and he just blew up at this.

 

You have to give it to Cam, he really stuck it to Carolina. $10M for the remainder of the season. This is like getting back with an ex, and as part of the reconciliation you have to sit and watch all of their favorite shows with them that you openly hate.

They had Fields right there to draft.

 I read it was for $10M for the rest of the season, for a guy nobody seemed to want! Hahahaha! He has a great agent!

Actually I thought I read it on the crawler that Cam can make up to $4 million in incentives.  I didn't see $10 million.  

But it doesn't matter, I hope he does well.

I don't know if it was $10M desperate, but Cam really was FAR and away better than anyone available. Jeff Driscoll, Nathan Peterman...just drek
