This was the Pittman I wanted to see today. I bashed the guy because he is too big and strong to not use his body the correct way. Today he did just that.

I always love when fans explain how professional players coached by professional coaches are not doing it the “correct way”.

Those never age well….   But it is what it is.

Nah, no one has it in large anywhere. I’ll just keep checking.

Now that is why it is a Plus Side to be a XXL haha, you can always find the big sizes. I will wait until the Black Friday deal comes though, I have gotten them for $70 in the past

that is WHY you draft someone like Pittman

you know how amazing it felt to watch Wentz and the Colts actually trying to bomb it deep a bunch of times on 3rd and long regardless of the weather???

let the man MAKE plays!

i had a fantasy team on ESPN where I had the last guy left who was Pittman and I had a "1% chance to win" when he was stuck on 1 catch 57 yards....

that last long catch that he went up and grabbed and scored on???? won me the week. going to be nice to rub it in to my opponent who is a buddy (it's a friendly league full of coworkers)

I've been rocking my Faulk one this year because of him.

For all the talk of Ballard’s missed second round picks he’s found four studs in the second in Leonard, Smith, Taylor, and Pittman.

Id also add Lewis has developed into this roll and always has two or three good plays a game and Rock is finally playing good football if he can stay on the field.

Ballard is not nearly as bad at drafting as some make it sound and frankly you are going to miss some, every GM does.  Not every GM finds guys like Leonard, Smith, Taylor, and Pittman outside of the first round.  All four should be pro-bowlers in their careers and in Leonard and Taylor’s cases are two of the best in the NFL at their positions.

Nelson and Leonard are their best players but Taylor is right there with them.

Man I think Ballard is outstanding at drafting players.

Even Rock, Turay, Campbell and Lewis have shown why they were drafted, at times. I think Lewis and Campbell are pretty good football players. I think Rock is as well and is just playing a really tough position that takes time. And I think Turay shows flashes pretty consistently and its easy for me to see what Ballard initially saw in him.

For me, a guy doesnt have to necessarily work out for me to consider him a good pick. If I can turn on the guys tape and see why Ballard likes him then thats enough for me. Hes trying to fill needs and these guys are just  candidates. These are projections. He is picking them based on what he thinks they could be, not what they are. And there is a lot of work and development that has to take place to make it happen. Sometimes, like with Parris and Turay, the progress gets derailed by injuries. Sometimes it just takes time and some struggles to learn from like with Lewis and Ya Sin. Sometimes it just doesnt work out like with Hooker.

But rarely does Ballard pick a guy that I cant see potential in, myself.

I think he has been too.  People like to focus on his misses more than give him credit for his hits for whatever reason.  Every GM has misses not every GM has the types of hits Ballard has hit on.

He wasn’t using his big body correctly. Now he’s extending for plays. Can’t sit here and tell me he was.

Thanks for setting MP and the coaching staff straight.

Why do you think we drafted Pitt 34th overall?   His reputation is he catches high passes better than most other receivers.   We niw have a quarterback capable of reaching Pittman all over the field.

Rivers had limitations.   Wentz missed almost the entire training camp.  They’ve now had time to work together.   Pittman knows what he’s doing.

Plus Pitt caught virtually everything thrown to him in college.

I'm pretty amped for our QB, RB, WR combo. This is shaping up nicely.  Pittman is looking like he can fill that big bodied WR role, the Colts struggled to find for so long. He has the tools to go up a grab 50/50 balls. Taylor has break away speed and is the most exciting RB since edge. These are big wins and if our online can get back to elite play the offense shows promise to be one of the best.

I would go as far as to say that Leonard, Pittman, Taylor, Nelson, Wentz and Buckner could all be in that conversation.

Somewhat reminiscent of Michael Irvin back in the day. Using his big body and aggressive tendencies will take Pitt far.

    • Well they got to the red zone just fine.  Their problem was early they tried to do what pats were doing. Once they threw it they moved down field.
    • Exactly, we saw how a well thrown hard back shoulder pass to Diggs went astray, and that was not a soft throw by any means or a long distance throw. NE DBs just read the QB's tendencies better than the QB who didn't see Myles Bryant coming off Beasley to get in the passing lane to disrupt that 4th down throw at the end, it was truly the story of the game, the well coached secondary which for crying out loud was playing without Kyle Dugger on Covid.   Reich should just follow KISS principles in this game. Unless the situation calls for it, dare the Patriots to stop the run since, like the Bills front, the Patriots front can be a lighter one, if we get hat on hat, JT is gone for chunks. BB likes to play 60 minute squeeze and chess games where he lets the opposition self destruct, little by little. We need to be willing AND able to do the same, that is how we win. If Bill goes away from 3 safeties and brings in a 3rd LB, pass to TEs and RBs to put those LBs in space. Just don't try tough window throws since they have athletes like Dugger and Jamie Collins in the middle for active deflections, has to be high percentage, IMO.   Reich vs McDaniels, McDaniels got the first one with Brady in 2018, HC and GM Reich and Ballard need to show McDaniels and Belichick we have what it takes to beat the best in the AFC. Great measuring stick game, IMO.
    • That will happen when you are a throwing team in 20mph wind....
    • They had 4 red zone trips. Only scored on one.
    • With that said, my same way to beat the Pats is the same for the Bucs, play physical and play field position.  Don’t give them short field situations because Mac is not going to turn it over and BB is going to eat clock.
