Fans telling opposing players to **** off has been the norm for a hundred years. Univ. of Tenn. got fined $225,000 this weekend for throwing trash on the field. Pro football fans attending games have never been viewed as the most intelligent of the species so to responding to them in their like is what we teach our kids not to do. I think he did it in part because he will neve play there again. In any case it is typical of the rude behavior we are stuck with now days. I wonder what this year's SB half time show will be like. Maybe a 30 second time delay will help cancel out the F bombs sung by the "artists".

You expect pro athletes to be more intelligent and well rounded members of society than the fans by default?

After he ran the ball in to the endzone he screamed at the Chicago fans several times "I own you!" The first chant was bleeped then he repeated himself twice more after that. Granted he is 22-5 against the Bears but he needs to purchase some class.

And you are the guy that seems to think Romanowski is just a great guy.

AR is a condescending A- hole

Don't know the man but he was a great player. If you chose to judge the man by his playing career alone then you would be wrong.

And a dirty player.  We all know that.

Rodgers is a great player too if we just go by his ability on the field.  But you seem to think he needs to buy some class.

What deed had Rodgers done to you and others think the guy has class. I didn't see Brady say anything to the Bears fans when they beat them allowing 3 points all day but I did see him go to a little boy in the stands and make a moment in the boy's life he will never forget. But then the GOAT has always had class even when he owned the Colts.

I didn't say Rodgers has class.  I said I think all of this behavior - taunting, celebrations for one good play, etc., is a bunch of nonsense that for me doesn't add anything to the game.

But I also see Romanowski in the same light that I see a guy like Suh.  Very good player but a dirty player.  To be fair we only see a small bit if what really goes on in the trenches.  But guys like Suh and Romanowski get those reputations somehow.

So I am tying your comments on two different threads.  I feel like you are being inconsistent.  That's all.

Brady was playing at home.    Also,  as do most superstars, Rodgers does a lot for those in need.    Get a grip.   We're not talking about Brady,  we're taking about Romanowski.

The history of the NFL is full of dirty players. Former Colt Art Donovan has hundreds of stories about dirty players. It was legal and expected back in the day

    • For your consideration….   Nobody knew who Ebukam was when the Colts signed him week 2 last year.   And nobody knew who Denico Autry was when the Colts signed him in week 2.   “Who?” Was the most popular comment both times.  They turned out really well.      Im not sayin Ballard is going to do it again this year, it hasn’t happened every year, all I’m saying it’s happened from time to time so it’s still possible that CB will find a keeper that people here will like.
    • Could he do it?  Sure, but it is much tougher for him than most owners in the NFL.  The Colts just layed out $200 million this free agency.  I imagine over half in guaranteed money.  That’s a lot for Jim.
    • With all that said...
    • Spending doesn't mean you will win. You still need to spend smart and you still need to draft well and overall make good decisions.    Not spending limits you in your roster construction. I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand. The best teams in the league use ALL available avenues for improving their team. They do not limit themselves artificially with what's possible to achieve. They also concentrate resources into windows of contention. This means at any given time, if you are not spending you are competing against teams that are pouring resources into trying to win it RIGHT NOW. You will just always be at disadvantage because while 1 specific team will need to reload and take their lumps for spending too much in short period of time once in a while, the league as a whole will always have at least a few teams that are in that high spending mode chasing a window for contention.    Now... is it possible you strike gold and beat those teams while relying almost exclusively on the draft? It's possible. If you string together a few insane draft classes. But it's not very likely...
    • This gets peddled like it means spending in FA doesn’t work. The Rams won a Super Bowl by spending. The Colts don’t spend and haven’t won bupkis since Ballard got here.    I’m not saying the Colts should just spend mindlessly and I don’t think that’s what anyone wants. But, Ballard’s gotta cover his draft misses by spending in FA otherwise we’ll never win with him at the helm.
