Per several reports (ESPN, Fox, +++), some pretty ugly stuff lol...

Claims Kraft and Brady may have even conspired to get rid of Belichick.

Not sure I buy it all, but I'm sure where there's smoke, there's at least a little fire.

Bill's last year???

Maybe, but at least half of America doesn’t sport Patriot’s attire anymore. KC and Bills have assumed control.

My favorite part was Kraft supposedly calling him an * savant lol...

My fear is BB goes to Houston and haunts us for the next 10 years....:wall:

If he goes anywhere, that would make the most sense. He also played a big factor with Baltimore's front office but I see Harbaugh and the front office going no where. I doubt he would simply go to the highest bidder.

He'd want full control. If not, he'd just stay home and chill with his dog.

Why would Kraft have to conspire to get rid of Belichick?   He can fire him whenever he wants.

Kraft owns the team.  If he wanted Brady there over BB that’s the way it would be.  He might not like BB but he’s regarded as the greatest coach and he’s willing to put up with not liking him for the results.

Jerry Jones biggest mistake was firing Jimmy Johnson

It's in the NFL general forum, or at least that's where it was intended to go

I was very confused at that post too lol but I'm guessing it was moved over here before we saw ithaha

I used the combined view function on the site. I choose the forums that show up on my main page, and whenever I create a thread, I have to select what forum it shows up in. Though for sure I chose NFL General. Normally, you can tell if a thread was moved or merged by a line of info that shows what mod made the action. I don't see that in this thread. If I checked the wrong box, apologies, but doesn't look like it.

BB is 69, and looks to be as active as ever. Doubt he's going anywhere. If he were to part ways with Kraft over this, doubt he just retire. Seems like the kind of guy that would want to go somewhere else and prove he can do it again, or perhaps be a thorn in the side of the team/owner that dissed him lol.

At the time, guess he'd want to ensure Brady bought in.

BB is beloved in NE. Would have been stupid in the first place IMO.

BB it is being reported has 2 years left on his deal. I don’t see him going anywhere else and coaching, the man going to be 70.

BB I loved Yo here up another losing season and the natives get restless… although it does appear he found a good QB.

70 doesn't look to be slowing him down. He's not a guy who will just retire and play golf IMO. He's not the type to go be TV (although that would be fire). Not saying he can't do anything else, but it's in his DNA.

I think he'll do well with his new QB, and I think they'll get better and better. Kraft would be silly IMO to not extend him if that happens.

I don't know how much I buy the stories that are coming out of htis book.  I don't doubt that there was some turmoil in-house.  Like, any married couple knows that arguments/fights are inevitable.  It's going to happen.  And this "marriage" involved 3 people.  But more than that, the stories are comprised mainly of 3rd party accounts.  We'll see, but I wouldn't ever expect Brady, Belichick or Kraft to corroborate the stories even if true.

I could see Bears, Giants, Jets, Dolphins, or Houston.

I'd prefer he go to the NFC...

I don't think the Jets would hire him now after spurning them before.  The Giants might but probably not.

How about the Colts? Irsay seemed fond of former Patriots coaches in the past.

I just don't think NYJ and NYG would be silly enough to pass given their last several years. Whatever happened a long time ago, is just a long time ago.

I'd be more than happy to have BB.

Not me. haha

Btw, I'm watching an interview with Bob Kraft. He seemed to give most of the credit for the Super Bowls to BB. He does not sound like someone unhappy with his head coach.

Kraft is a smart guy and says the right things.

He shouldn't hang around with Watson though lol.

I feel like this is a way for people to buy Kraft's book. Saying this during reunion week.

It's not Kraft's book, it was written by Seth Wickersham.

Speaking in general on the topic, you can dislike someone as a person/human while still acknowledging that they're good or great at what they do. I don't think Kraft and Belichick have a warm and fuzzy relationship but I also know that, as a businessman, Kraft is not going to fire the most successful head coach in the history of the sport.

When Belichick leaves, it'll be mutual, or on his terms. If he doesn't retire, the only coaching gig I can see him taking would be the Giants job. Don't know if you guys saw the "30 for 30" special but he's got a soft spot for that team and respects ownership.
