I agree, hopefully like when Banner was cut he has learned from his mistakes and is ready to act like a pro.

Although I’m curious why we haven’t brought in Schwartz for a physical to see how he has been healing. I mean we already have Fisher might as well grab the chiefs former RT too

Or Okung

Depends on your standpoint. Do you think he's just blown all of his rookie signing bonus? Or is he genuine? I'd have no problem signing him to PS or have like a 95% incentive based deal. A prove it type thing. It would be really easy to see within a week or two whether he's serious or not. But the talent coming out of college was undeniable.

you sign him to the minimum, with some incentives for starting games and maybe some more for not being dumb.

sounded sincere to me. like i said above somewhere, perhaps he hit rock bottom and realized how immature he's been.

Agreed. Could be a perfect storm and timing for us right now, lets be real.

Nothing official from the Colts yet.  Maybe this person has a connection with Wilson and knows something.

I doubt it. I think they are just all having a hissy simply because he's working out for an AFCS team and fretting the worst.....

Their fans want that 1st rounder back lol

IMO he's still a long shot to be signed. maybe his IG post was an attempt to convince perspective buyers he's pulled his head out of his culu

Theres only so much money.

We started the year off with Top-3 money.   Now I think we’re bottom-10 money.  Maybe lower.    Most of that will go to in-season moves.

There are financial limitations at play here.

The post said all of the right things. And there were whispers of mental health issues last year. Everyone wanted him to succeed here. And we may never know the complete story. But he was on the non-football list for weeks here and finally came back to the team late in the season and literally played a handful of garbage time snaps. The team was patient for a while, but felt that they couldn't solve his problems for him. Miami apparently felt the same way after just a few days.

I think this is a perfect swing for the fences move that this team should do. They could potentially fill the franchise left tackle hole for next to nothing. Of course Isaiah could flame out but if this team is serious about taking the next step, these are the kinds of chances you must take. They didn’t build up that high character locker room for nothing. It would be amazing to fill one of our big needs on the cheap.

In a perfect world you wanna only have players with good character and talent .  We have players here who have great character but their talent level is just not there no matter how hard they try . Some times you need to take risk on really talented guys and hope they can change .

Some folks act like this guy goes around and kills puppy dogs and old ladies for fun lol..

Dude has maturity issues, and maybe a drinking problem. That's it.

I don't want him is his head is still up his ace, but he's low risk.

He'd cost us nothing. We'd likely cut a guy on a near min contract, and sign him to similar. Nobody is fighting to sign this guy. He'll take a cheap one year deal in the hopes of rebuilding his rep. I'd give him some incentives for PT and not acting a fool though.

he has some mental health problems but they could easily be fixed with the help of specialists .  i would think the team with kicking the stigma would be open to helping him . plus add in his talent level i see no risks here , if he doesnt work out he gets cut big deal .

Yup. Could turn out to be a great turnaround story. And everyone would love it, except the Titans.

And a therapist is a cheap fix...

Like I said, he's a long shot to get signed, but low risk high reward type of move. And just giving him another chance and trying to surround him with support to help him overcome the mental health issues is a good human thing to do (if he sounds sincere).

Why you all giving up on this dude?  He is human, like the rest of us, and maybe he had some things going on in his head.  Sometimes you don't know what you have until you lose it, and this guy lost football.  Maybe, just maybe, he realizes that without football, he has no opportunities like it and is ready to put in the work.

Or he is a complete turd...  just saying who knows what is going on with this dude but maybe he just needs another chance

Yes….  True….    We project to have roughly $60+ million for next year.

Our two big obvious targets will be Q and Fisher.   The rest will be re-signing the guys we want to bring back, which should be do-able.

Mental health is almost never "easily fixed". It's often complex and medications often don't solve everything (or therapy for that matter). But you have to start somewhere. Then there are other matters.... Does he still love football? Respect authority? is coachable? Be disciplined? All of these were serious questions in Nashville. The NFL is a league of second/third chances. Talent gets people to listen. And I hope he gets it together in some way shape or form. But many here have our doubts.

I mean the worst thing that can happen is he's going to miss a flight for a game or something... not a huge difference between that and Davenport/Tevi/Holden making the flight but but playing like they've missed it and not touching the passrushers on their way to the QB. :D

Yup. Could be a lot of things. Or could just be immaturity. Nobody knows. I'll say this, people use the "mental heath" tag for just too much these days, and without actual insight to the situation. Obviously he has issues. Could be simple maturity. Could be substance abuse, could be deeper. The good thing is that he seems willing to address whatever it is. Hope he's sincere and get back on track regardless if that's with the Colts, or outside FB.

Yup. Making the flight and missing the pass rushers equates to basically the same thing. If he makes the flight though...

Tired of having bull fighters at tackle...
