That's two out of five days. I hope they are at least in the film room. Eason needs the work.

It's like you don't understand that Eason has likely had few days off from "working" since before he was drafted.

They get a day off every 3 or 4 days. They have panther practices next Friday and Saturday so the days this week are kind of messed up. They have practice Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Players actually got to go home last night. Otherwise they are at a hotel.

NFLPA and NFL agreement limits number of practices by type and how many rest days during training camp. And even during the rest of the year. Basically it’s the same for every team.

They are allowed to have a couple days off right? Lol

But seriously, their bodies need that rest. I wouldn’t be made (mad) at film room until the regular season. Can’t afford for any more started (starters) to get hurt.

This must be why there are so many more soft tissue injuries these days. Players getting soft.

When I was in camp we had two a days and weren't allowed to drink water during practice.

Coaches learn from mistakes made in the past, thank goodness.

That was just stupid. Coach Landry always let us hydrate.

High school or college? Oh right, this is the NFL. I ran two-a-days too in high school but at a much lower level of football. The pros are pros because they’re stronger and faster than everyone else. Strong bodies against strong bodies can cause injury and we’ve seen that. Maybe you should check your ego, honest answer to your thread in general

I would fathom a guess some of them aren't taking the day completely off.   Gives some a chance to do their own workout routine and eat some different food.  They haven't even been with pads but two days and I've heard the practices are not gaudy (In Reich fashion).  And they are probably nose-in playbook as well and studying Panther film.

There is a football game tonight.:cheer2:

Everyone get excited before preseason (and this is especially true with the HOF Game) only to remember that it isn’t really football, but televised practice and isn’t really all that compelling to watch.

It is *technically* football, but ultimately it’s always disappointing. :(

They are still frail compared to players in the past.

They're bigger, faster, and know how to take care of their bodies a lot better.  You can call that being frail, but when they're older they'll be in a lot better shape to enjoy the fruits of their labor.  I call that being smart.

Look how many of our players are hurt already. They haven’t even put the pads on yet.

Saying that players were tougher in the past is hilarious. Comparing impacts between players that are generally 20-30 pounds heavier now to players of the past, and who now are considerably faster.........is like saying that a lightweight boxer delivers the same punch that a middleweight boxer does.

Except when you compare a 210 pound LB meeting a 180-90 pound running back......to a 245 pound LB meeting a 210-20 pound RB..........the difference is massive. That does not even take in the fact that both positions are faster today.

Players also get hurt working out in the office-season long before they out on pads.  That doesn’t make them soft.  They’re doing serious physical activities and staff happens.

This is not about who is soft and who isn’t….

New rule.  Anyone who thinks today’s players are soft has to line up against Buckner or Nelson (when healthy) in pads and try to block/get around them.  Then we will see if they still think today’s players are soft.

Don’t think we have any linebackers the size of a Ray Lewis, Brian Urlaucher, Junior Seau. We had Leonard playing at about 215lbs last year. He said so himself.

    • Im not even worried about that right now. Im concentrated on beating the 49ers and Tenn. And then we shall see from there. Tenn i think we can beat with a healthy Carson, healthy OL with Braden and Quenton back. Offense is starting to play the way we expected. And im sure some of those teams youve mentioned are on the Titans schedule. They will lose a couple of those as well.
    • Kyle Hamilton is a STUD. I don't see the Colts having a chance at drafting him unless they move into the top 5. He's a top 5 pick and the Colts won't be drafting that high. Would be a great addition, just don't think it's very likely. I'd absolutely to have him as a Colt but I don't see the Colts making a move into the top 5 to get him.
    • I believe today is the last day Ehlinger can be activated on goes to i.r. for the rest of the season...bears watching tonite
    • I think we'll find out what the Cardinals plans for the offseason are based on who they hire. If they hire from within (which I think they will), Cardinals will likely do minimal things and basically run it back in 2022. If they hire from outside the org, I think they'll be aggressive and sign a top SS and add to the bullpen and rotation. Mozeliak really likes Jeff Albert and he wants him to remain hitting coach so I think it'll be a hire from within. An external coach is gonna wanna pick his own hitting coach, not come in with one already picked for him.   Ultimately, I think they'll hire Marmol and stand pat. I think Shildt wanted to improve the roster and get rid of Albert and Mozeliak said no.
