Can you imagine. Foles has to save him again from injury. Lol.

I would just ride with eason. He knows the play book and has developed bonds with team mates.

I don't see any way that we bring Foles in. That would be the biggest slap in the face to Wentz. I think we roll with Eason if Wentz can't go and maybe bring in a vet backup behind him.

My thoughts as they appeared in my lunatic fringe mind....

  1. well maybe we'll have a 1st round pick next year
  2. did Rivers start that HS job yet?
  3. Reich gets yet another year with a good "excuse"
  4. unlock the Swag
  5. perhaps it's time for Minshew. Nothing like 70s porn football

My take:

Wentz will miss just enough games this season for that pick to be a number 2 next year. Don't look too far into it okay? Why do you think they took another QB this year? They knew we'd need 3.

Not trying to speculate but if he had a mri this morning seems to me they might of saw a broken bone in the foot with X-ray  and doing more testing to see how bad it is.

No if he had a X-ray it would have shown a broken bone . The mri is for ligaments more then bones .

Well, I will assume this is not a season ending thing, much less a career thing. That's how I'm rolling.

That said, the Colts can go two ways if Wentz is not under center game one. Part of me wants a capable vet, but a bigger part of me wants to see what the 3 backups have when the pressure is on. It's still my team, and I am looking forward to the season regardless.

This is a classic example of why I don't hang my hopes onto a SB or bust train. I enjoy each season for it's uniqueness.

Not trying to speculate, and then you turn right around and speculate.

I'm not trying to speculate, but here's my speculation.

BTW, it's a board... it's OK to speculate. Just don't start your post with "not trying to speculate" lol

This is some good news. Could be worse. Except we have a hard start to the season.

So he should wait and not get the surgery.  then when they realize he isn't healing he can get the surgery.

Have I heard that before?

That is probably why he is seeing the door doctor. To determine what is the best moving forward.

Hw needs all these reps in TC. Nor expecting much to start the season. Eason will get some valuabe reps but Carson needed those.

I was just watching a ortho doc explaining what his injury could be. I will see if I can find it. It ranges from missing anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks.
One game is too many because that means he also misses all of training camp. Plus we have a very hard schedule.

bone + ligament is

No Bueno

Grass.

As long as their not practicing on crack, I'm fine.

I was just trying to understand how he injured himself.

I've seen in the past where QB's plant their plant foot (back foot) too hard into artificial turf and the turf doesn't give so an injury happens.

If you do that on grass the grass gives away and you kick out a huge clump of grass.

I don't believe he was tackled all TC so it doesn't make any sense.
