Road trip roll call

Now that the schedule is out just curious if anybody will be making any road trips to see our boys.  We decided to do Miami this year.  Got tix, airfare, hotel and rental car (convertible lol).  Gonna be a long wait but beyond excited to have it all booked.  Any trips planned by anybody else here?  Cheers!

Last road trip game I went to was our ill fated playoff game in Kansas City. Not only did we have to drive through a blizzard to get there  to watch them lose it turned out to be Andrew Lucks last game:Cry:. That being said, yes I probably will go on a road trip I haven’t figured out which game though.

Jacksonville most likely, its a 2.5 hour trip so not too bad

I'm thinking about that one too.  We recently moved from Bama, where the Tenn game was only 1.5 hours away.  Now we're in FL.  Tampa is closer, but that one is in Indy.

January in Jacksonville should be nice.  But you couldn't get me into that pool if you paid me.

Not going to a Colts road game but we are going to try going to Green Bay for a game.

Ever been to Lambeau?  It is awesome.  If you are a drinking man, you will have great time.   Incredibly friendly atmosphere before the game.

You can go around and drink and eat from the tailgates in the parking lot.  Like there is just food, bottles of booze, beer, it's amazing.  The have donation jars out, but if you don't have cash, they are all like yah, joost have brat andda brewski dere.

Like a college party with much better food and drink.

SF game is local for me. Road trip game is TB.

I almost moved to SF with a girlfriend.  Always thought about it.... but I think if I moved out west now I'd move to Long Beach. But Palm Beach is great, except maybe the humid, thunderous summers lol. And soon Sports Betting may pass here and won't need to fly to Vegas.

Never been there. Heard it’s a great place to see a game. Not really a drinking man anymore but every once in awhile I will cut loose.  Will have to plan for that tailgate experience bc it sounds like a great time. Thank you for the heads up.

I plan on doing Miami this year too. I unfortunately can't start planning anything until I know more about when the border will open again

Maybe Buffalo in November. It's only 1.5 hours away.

I'll definitely be at that one too as long as the border is back open

Will be at the season opener against Seahawks from VA to Indy can’t wait. Also will be at the Colts vs Ravens game in baltimore which isn’t too far from where I live both should be a good one! If anyone would like to meet or do any tailgates I’d love to meet some of you!

A few friends and I usually make our way out to Indianapolis once a year for a game, usually the Jags game. We haven't purchased tickets yet but really hoping we can make it this year. Last year was the first time in ~5 or so years I wasn't able to get out there for a game.

We always stay at either the Homewood or Hilton Garden Inn.  Any of the downtown hotels would be good.

Make your reservations for dinner at St. Elmo's early.  And have the shrimp cocktail!

    • Isaiah Land he says.     Every year it happens. The Dallas Cowboys make some tough roster cuts and we all wait nervously to see if our favorite prospects make it cleanly through waivers. Most do, but every once in a while, a team will scoop up that one guy we were hoping made it to the practice squad. This year, that player is edge rusher Isaiah Land. An undrafted free agent from Florida A&M, Land dealt with injuries his final year in college, but had a remarkable season in 2021 when he finished with 19 sacks, 25.5 tackles for a loss, and three fumble recoveries. While there is a lot to be uncovered with him, he still flashed enough to draw interest from the Cowboys. Throughout the summer, the young edge rusher had impressed and it looked like the team had found another diamond in the rough. Land was fantastic during the preseason. In three games, he finished with 10 total pressures, which was the second-most of any player on any NFL team this preseason. He also finished with seven hurries on 45 pass-rushing snaps. He only recorded one official sack but finished with a pass rush win rate of 20%. Not only that, he had opposing tackles so worried about his get-off that they were regularly jumping early. There were several instances when tackles would get called for a false start.    Might as well be optimistic about  Woods and Land contributing to our resurrection.
    • Nice catch Stitch.  Year two of Steichen, our very functional TE group and Downs gives me very high expectations that we will be highly effective attacking the middle of the field. If we do add another WR to help complement the other side of the field, Pittman's ability to be even more outstanding only goes up. And I feel confident another guy will be added. Our offense should be very strong for 2024.
    • I'm hopeful Colts resign Blackmon and do this in the draft
    • I just saw Pittman's "Reception Perception" charts... so here it goes:
