Paye- unpolished/no second move.   Dayo- injured/won't play until the latter part of the season.   Gransen- drops the ball.    Tbh im not feeling great about this draft.

He's  faster than doyle, more athletic than burton, more polished  route runner than cox

My god... Four drops in one game... Almost as bad as that one bum that threw four INTs (3 to Ty Law) that one game...   (For those that need it)

Love it gives them their play making tightend they have been looking for.  Has some drops issues and not a blocker but with Mo and Doyle I am not concerned about it.

Sounds very promising. Remenber just because we haven’t heard of him doesn’t mean he will be a bust. This probably means no Ertz.

Irsay did say they were looking for another Dallas Clark. Hes about the same size as Clark and he seems to have good speed and RAC

I wasn't expecting this, but I also wasn't expecting our first two picks.  Seems like a play maker with some drop issues and not much of a blocker.  6' 1 1/2" 230lbs, looking for his 40.

Edit: Thanks @ColtV 4.58 40, not bad.

Ertz can still be in the mix, but not with his current contract

They needed an offensive weapon at TE. Glad they got one. I’ll be interested to learn more about this guy. Honestly hasn’t heard much about him.

I'm seeing that he is only 6' 1", 241.  Hardly TE size.  Had 4 drops in one game alone.

I saw 6 ' 3"

Why not just draft Friermuth last night?

This guy sounds like a replacement for Burton.

Because they liked the end they took more.

Drops. Doesn't block. He's 5 feet 3 in tall.

I mean, if you wanted a receiver, why not Tylan Wallace?

Because they don’t want a WR they want play making TE.

Reich and Wentz like throwing to TEs, so he fits. apparently very good running after the catch, but had problems with drops. On the tube they said he's not a blocker, but in a video with NFL.com, Granson himself said he loves to block.

you're right, probably means no Ertz.

I think maybe Josh Ball from Marshall in round 5.

Why do TE always have drop issues lol. If Doyle does indeed retire after this season we needed this. Great TE have been drafted later in the draft.

He’s Burton but reportedly doesn’t block well. I suppose they can work on that...but he is limited by size.

Seems like they are just replacing outgoing players from last year’s with this draft. Probably a S next.

Definitely an interesting pick at TE. Lacks great size but his speed and effort is clearly there. I'd imagine he'll double as our full back and add another check down option with RAC ability for Wentz.

Would have made sense to take a guy like Friermuth then in 2, over a developmental DE that is essentially a redshirt. Just my opinions obviously

In your opinion like you said.  Clearly Ballard disagreed.  I think he would tell you he feels like they got two first round picks with their first two picks.  Friermuth wouldn’t have given them that.

He is basically Trey Burton on a rookie deal.

Receiving TE which is a need.

Draft expert Dane Brugler says:

Athletic mover with smooth hip action, accelerates quickly into his routes to immediately stress linebackers or safeties, can shake the first defender."
