Have another cup of coffee, buddy.  Nope, Jabril Cox and Israel Mukuamu are still there.

But I did make a mistake.  43 Trey Smith, G, Tennessee (also on my My Guys list) is also still available.

The guy that I'm watching for most is Alaric Jackson LT Iowa.  He was my backstop LT choice, in case everything went wrong, and we wound up not getting an OT in the first two rounds.  He started 42 games at LT for Iowa.  Beast of a run blocker, with great awareness.

Based on how Ballard has been drafting I would say Nick Eubanks at TE. Team captain and played with Paye. Bates is the guy I want

I also expect us to trade a player for some late rounders. Guys on the block may be Banogu and one of the LBs like Adams or Franklin (especially with Jabril Cox still out there).

Tylan Wallace I really like too. I’ve heard Jacob Harris is a hybrid guy at WR who could be a guy who could convert to TE or play a Hybrid role. Just has to bulk up some.

If we evaluate current depth charts we can see what bottom end roster players arent likely secure in their spots and could be replaceable and thus what positions we take

3rd TE- Noah Togiai/Farrod Grren/Jordan Thomas---Yep we are drafting a TE

4th Safety- Sean Davis/Rolan Milligan---Again we are drafting  Safety to try and unseat one of these players

3rd /4th/5th/6th Linebacker- Adams/Franklin/Speed/Glasgow/Moore/Banogu perhaps----Total mess 1 maybe 2 drafted here

6th Wr- Patmon,/Dulin/Jennings/Nelson- Possible, top 5 appear locked in and honestly club seems to like Paton- 50/50

6th Corner- Tell/Teamer (Was moved from Safety)- Again possible, top 5 set with Moore,Rhodes,Carrie,Rock and Rodgers- 50/50

4th Guard- Jones,Eldrkamp -With Nelson possibly moving to Tackle now and Reed starting safe to say Pinter only safe spot 50/50

So   TE,S,LB,WR,CB and G all in play today it would seem.

I think depth at LB and S today will be priorities. As is usually the case with Day 3, there will be plenty of options at LB/S. With Walker Jr, Hooker and Wilson not returning there are depth gaps in the back end of the defense.

Both of you need your coffee.

Divine Deablo was selected as well.

I updated the list above, added Trey Smith too.

Harris is really intriguing because he has the height and athleticism to be a weapon, but he definitely needs to bulk up a bit (6'5" 211lb) . I see the same type of guy in Zach Davidson from Central Missouri, who I like a bit later, and isn't as rail thin (6'6" 240lb). They remind me a bit of Dan Arnold, that a handful of us talked about during FA for us, as tall lanky move TE's that can't block in-line, but offer a receiving mismatch.

I think Eubanks could fit the Ballard mold pretty well.

You can't go wrong with an offensive linemen from Iowa. So many OL in the NFL seem to come from there.

I really like Alaric Jackson.  He might not be a front half of the season starter but, he's a guy that could develop into a solid contributor and possible starter as the year wears on.

I asked this last night but no one replied:

Any good CBs left? Who is best?

There is this guy that I read about that I want. I think his name is Michael Carter, defensive back from Duke. Anyone like him? I value intelligence and leadership. He has those attributes. Last year, I liked Jaylon Johnson who had similar intangibles. He played well for the Bears.

Anyone know him?

Molden came off the board late 3rd and then there was a run. I think Graham Jr. from Oregon is still out there. Heck of a ball hawk who's grade dropped due to opt out in 2020.

Iowa traditionally turns out good OL, soni could get behind this.... I think we might trade down, but our next pick will be one of DB, TE, WR

I really like:

* Tay Gowen, UCF

* Trill Williams, Syracuse

* Robert Rochell, Central Arkansas

* Israel Mukuamu, South Carolina

A few really good nickel CB's (not a need for us) like Shaun Wade.

Thanks, Joe. My team needs some defensive backs. I think we are going all or mostly defense today.

Thank you. I will read a bit on them.

What are you hoping to get from the Colts today? BPA or players that meet need?

One of those guys and hopefully a WR or TE.

May as well focus on Alabama players.  They have a G available:  Deonte Brown

He had a really bad Senior Bowl and doesn't fit from a need perspective either. I don't think he'd be very high on our board, if at all.

I am hoping Stone Forsythe can fall 14 more spots... That'd be a nice addition for us.

He is a very good pass blocker.  Still needs to grow as a run blocker.  I would be pleased to get him.

He would be a great value pick at 127 too... He is my 86th rated player.

Someone less known throughout the nation, but had a big impact in the state would be Antonio Philips, CB of Ball State. He played a big part in the Cards getting their first bowl game win this past January.

How is Jarbril Cox still around this late.  If he some how is there for the Colts I want him over any OT left.

Not sure, but it seems very odd to me too. He is my 52nd rated player... This happens every year though.... Maybe some late medical issue...

Darn good draft by the Boys in terms of linebackers. Cox is a steal on day 3.

PFF was just talking about with Dan Quinn and his system, Smith is most likely out since he fit the prior Cover 2/Tampa 2 scheme and most likely not this one.

I'm watching the PFF stream again, so I'll try not to spoil any picks before the TV broadcast announces them.

You definitely posted Jabril Cox before that selection.

Giants are having a good draft.

I realized it right before I posted that last post. I switched over to NFLN and saw Dallas listed as still on the clock, but it was too late...lol
