I change my mind worse than a chameleon changing colors. Also, I had talked about the weirdest thing happening, Jaylen Waddle dropping to us, so what the heck, might as well mock him, dare to be different. :)

I have to now make a FINAL entry now, hoping I will hit on a few this year, LOL. I will piggyback on my own mock from here and go with my gut then mixing in some of my previous entries :)

Round 1:

A: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

B: Azeez Ojulari, DE, Georgia

C: Jayson Oweh, DE, Penn State

Round 2:

A: Walker Little, OT, Stanford

B: Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame

C: Payton Turner, DE, Houston

Round 4:

A: Elerson Smith, DE, Northern Iowa

B: Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia

C: Robert Rochell, CB, Central Arkansas

Round 5:

A; Hunter Long, TE, Boston College

B: Derrick Barnes, LB, Purdue

C: Simi Fehoko, WR, Stanford

Round 6:

A: Darrick Forrest, S, Cincinnati

B: Jonathan Marshall, DT, Arkansas

C: Riley Moore, TE, Kansas State

Round 7:

A: Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State

B: Sam Cosmi, OT, Texas

C: Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky

Will the Colts trade their first pick? YES (there goes the chameleon in me again)

Well done people, especially to those on this (unofficial) list I noted this morning as I was reading the choices-

(1) PureLuck
(1) BlueStallion
(1) craigerb

(4) EastStreet
(4) Bluefire4

(6) Four2itus
(6) Clem-Dog

( ) denotes place, not points.. and not considering trade points {which may well change things}

All above with the correct name selected in round 1. Top three selected as the correct top choice as well, 2 as middle, 2 as the third. I haven't rechecked, so I'll let the officials of this draft thread handle the official list. :)

BTW, I didn't factor trade question either.

After Day #1, the clear leader is craigerb who is batting 1000 (perfect six points) so far! Not only did craig predict that we would stay put at #21, but also nailed the pick of Kwity Paye. Amazing ...

Well done craigerb!

PureLuck and BlueStallion both nailed the Kwity Paye pick as well, but both also thought CB would trade instead of picking at 21, so missed there.  Others  in the running.

Should be a fun to follow this.  Really excited to see if folks hit on those late rounders...

BlueStallion's Round 3 picks shouldn't count since the Colts draft contest shouldn't include "hypothetical" round picks, only the picks the Colts went into the draft with, otherwise everyone can get multiple player shots in with additional draftees listed. :)  Just keeping it straight and fair for everyone.

I will leave that up to @Dr. T in the final evaluation.

Chad is correct. A few of you gave extra picks or hypothetical picks outside of the six slots the Colts have in this draft and they will not count. It's fun to speculate about, but we have to follow the rules as I outlined them at the very beginning of this thread.

Agreed! These-

Round 3 (Acquired from 1st-round trade down)
A.  Pat Freiermuth (TE) Penn State
B.  Dillon Radunz (OT) North Dakota State
C.  Liam Eichenberg (OT) Notre Dame

should be thrown out.  The others should stand, though... IMO

Similarly with ScottPencock too. :) I let him know early on but he didn't correct his entry.

Hum not sure what I was thinking but I put a 3rd rd picks as well does that mean my 3rd picks are null and void or can I say throw out the 5th round and slid them down!? I leave it to is it contest organizer! Sorry for the mistake and confusion

I’m thinking the original slots have to be honored because it would otherwise become revisionist after the fact.

But, like you said, it’s up to @Dr. T :)

Even though BlueStallion picked both Dayo and Paye, the winner of this year's Colts Draft Contest is craigerb for holding on to his first day's lead. Congrats, and for the rest of us, better luck next year!

As always,   thanks for doing this.   I didn't have the time this year to participate.     You have been doing this since the RATS days.     We're getting old.    Haha

Thanks @Dr. T for doing this as always.

It was a nice trick, messing with our heads with the bonus or negative points for guessing if there will be a trade back of the 21st pick. One of these days, one of these days, I will get more than 2 correct, which has been my highest (Donald Brown, Fili Moala draft in 2009).

Correctly choosing choice A merits 5 points, while correctly choosing choice B or C instead will merit 4 and 3 points respectively. If one of your "A" selections is chosen, but in a different round than you predicted, you get 2 points, if one of your "B" selections is chosen in a different round than you predicted, you get 1 point, and if one of your "C" selections is chosen in a different round than you predicted, you get 0.5 points. In addition, you will also get to earn an additional point by predicting correctly if the Colts will trade their first round pick this year, but with a twist! If you predict correctly, you earn one point, but if you are incorrect, you will be DEDUCTED one point. If you don’t want to risk it, you can also abstain (no harm, no foul). For those that do not answer this question, the default is that this is a vote to abstain.

Hmmm....are these rules you want to propose for your own contest next year?

No...they are cut-and-pasted from the excellent Dr. T’s annual, official Colts Draft Contest for 2021.
The scoring listed were my scores in this year's contest.

We know you won the contest. We know the breakdown of your picks and that contest thread is still open if you wanted to add to it without creating a new thread. That is why I and probably a few others are confused. :)

I had no idea who won. It looked like a monumental task to score all entries, so I thought I would help the process along by self-scoring. I thought the breakdown by position was also informative, considering I only picked one player correctly and others picked more than that.
