One of the main reasons I wasn't sad about losing Stafford. Ballard has proven that he can draft very very well.

Just goes to show you QB and skill positions through the draft get great bang for the buck if done right.

 

Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Jonathan Taylor were key factors in these rankings.

He's the perfect GM for an owner like Irsay.  Cautious and shrewd with picks (which is important for owners who don't want to throw money around).  Good eye for the head coach.  And he drafts well.

 

He's done a fine job in Indy.

He certainly knows how to work the draft. He's got one crazy roller coaster of an offseason coming up. We're lucky he's able to deal with such adversity.

Damn right. They are the ones that typically make the most immediate impact as well.

Maybe he should let someone else take the wheel this year?  And then do it himself again next year.

I thought they had to either cut, pay or trade him by a certain date.  I dont think he was healthy enough to trade at the time
