Eason was starter got hurt, Fromm came in played well and they elected to stay with him and Eason transferred       If you want to go that route then, Justin Fields couldn't beat o

I just wish this Wentz story would end

The Texans aren't trading Watson to the Colts under any scenario.  Imo

Why is it when people bring up trades especially for they think the team is gonna want our scrubs?

If we ever stand a chance someone HUGE will have to be included player wise like Q or DL.

Well fact be told, the Colts scrubs(RYS,Banogu) you are referring to have a way better chance being traded than Q or Leonard.

So I guess the same question could be asked of you, because the people you want to trade are not realistic in any sense of the word.

All I'm saying is if given the choice between Leonard and franchise QB im choosing the QB. Id love to have both .

You've been saying it.

The post I responded to, you were complaining about people continually trying to trade our "scrubs". Which like I said, is a lot more likely to happen than the player(s) you continually mention about trying to trade.

When Ballard says he wants to grow the team with homegrown Colts players he doesn't mean to hit on draft picks develop them and then trade our studs.

He means he wants to hit on players develop them and keep them here.

Let's hope he finds a solid homegrown QB soon

Who knows? We might already have him? Even of it's not this year.

I wouldn't mind some Mac Jones though.

The only reason I want Jones is he would do very well with us. Rivers proved last year you dont have to mobile to have success.

If Jones ends up on squad with bad OL he could struggle.

Having a mobile QB  makes it do your margin of error isn’t so small. Things aren’t always going to go perfect execution wise. It sure would be nice to have a QB that can make plays off script.

I'm not completely against the mobile QBs of the world. I'm just strongly for getting Jones.

If Wentz does have.a market the colts could have some competition from the Panthers and SF.

I saw the Giants are sticking with Jones but they never trade down.

He can go anywhere else

Just please keep him away

I am just tired of hearing we just didn’t execute.  A good QB can have such a higher ceiling if he can extend plays.

OK, Johnny Manziel.

You're welcome!

I said a good QB.

Raiders need defensive help. If we could get Carr I would give up Okereke in a trade. Raiders aren’t trading Carr unless they get a substantial upgrade.

They would most likely want a 1st and more

i switched out wentz for hurts in my fantasy league so hopefully colts can take wentzy off of their hands lol.

It would be interesting what the poll would look like now that Stafford isn't an option.  Right now, Eason has the 2nd most votes but I bet a lot of those stafford votes would just got to trading for a different QB.

Philly knows we are desperate for a QB.  I highly doubt we have the leverage to get a pick thrown in.

Well we know Reich really wanted Rivers last year and we know what happened.  So if this is true than one can assume Wentz to the Colts has a very high probability of happening.  His should be the least cost to acquire vs Carr or Cousins.  Very Ballard like.  I'm taking a deep breath and counting to ten to let this sink in.

I'm trying to look at the bright side. If he comes here and sucks or gets injured then Eason might get some reps.

If he does come here I hope Reich can help resurrect his career

If they know we’re desperate for a QB, I’d rather get their 6th pick over Wentz.  From there we would be in position to get one of the top 3 QB’s in the draft.

So Frank going after another former player..... insert eyeroll.

And this after the Eagles basically chose Wentz over Pederson, and brought in a whole new staff to try and salvage the situation....

He's simply not worth 35ishM/year for the next 4 years. At least there's an contract-out after the 21 season. It's a 25ishM dead cap hit though.

Please no. If Reich does do this, and it fails, Reich needs to be shown the door with Wentz in 21. If it works out, I just hope it's good enough to get us over the hump. Big dice roll.

And per reports, other teams have called about him. Hoping someone makes a better offer lol.

If the Colts get Wentz it's not going to be a Reich decision that Ballard simply rubber stamps. Ballard would need to be all in on it as well, which means Reich and Ballard would sink or swim together.

I disagree Ballard has done to keep his job even if Wentz comes here and fails

High risk for sure.  Still hard to see the Colts rolling the dice with Wentz.  And that'd what they would be doing.  With the most important position on the team.  Just shaking my head.

Not if you know the player

Overall, Ballard has done a good job, as has Reich, but if they are wrong in their evaluation of a QB who has been in the league for 4 years, who will have a major impact on the teams salary cap, then it is a major cause for concern.

Ballard both benefits and has a incomplete grade because of Luck retiring into the general QB haze we're in.

Wentz * might * be good, but if he's the guy we saw last year (and how exactly to does one ignore that?) he's not going to be worth the picks or the game checks.

I think hes a high end talent whos issues are fixable especially under the guy he threw 33 TD and 7 picks with. A lot of Wentz stuff is bad mechanics, and hero ball and much of that was being behind that bad O line and having no personnel.  And if it doesnt work it wont take long to get out of his contract. If we do this deal it tells me they have some level of belief Eason will eventually become a player in the near future.
