The Steelers are still resting.

MAN! Feels amazing to see the Titans and Steelers lose on the same day. Going to sleep well tonight

Backyard football. Manning and Brady weren't running around waiting for someone to shake the DB. It's crazy new nfl

Yeah but if you’re ready for a 60 minutes battle vs Mahomes and mix up the coverages without blitzing while possessing the ball, you can get them in a close game. They have won 7 one score games this year and I feel some of them could have gone either way. So it’s not like they were blowing out their competition.

I think the Chiefs D is slightly worse from last year vs the run thus allowing more keep away. Lots of good wild card teams have 2 good road games in them (2008 Ravens, 2009 Jets, 2010 Jets, 2011 Giants, 2012 Ravens etc.)

That LOGO Stuff was funny.  Titans ravens is going to be a rivalry for a long time.

i think the Bears are going to beat the Saints.

Vrabel and Malcom Butler were mouthing off at Harbaugh before the first game in Baltimore when Harbaugh told them it was disrespectful.
They may have Titans gear on, but underneath ,is the undergarments of lying, cheating , disrespectful Patriots ! Karma is hell.

Nice start by Browns

Don't like the Browns, but pulling for them today, as the Steelers essentially jist let them in the playoffs last week by not playing a bunch of main guys.

This is the reason you don't just let people in. It van come back to bite you. Hoping it bites the Steelers tonight.

The Steelers are so bad. This is why we didn’t need to throw against them. We still would of beat them by running. Frank had to try and be to smart.

Save that for the Reich thread

Can you even imagine if Browns blow game

I can definitely see the Browns blowing it or making it a real close game. Steelers are a streaky offense and Browns can go from hot to cold on offense. However, recently, including the Titans game, when the Browns have had a 3 TD lead, they lean on their strengths, which is the RBs and TEs and Landry and the game script favors that as the game goes on. As long as the run is a factor, it will take a long time for the Steelers to catch up that it might end up a bit too little too late. Browns 49 - Steelers 35, I can definitely see it.

The Browns on an offensive hurting on the Ravens a few weeks ago. We were lucky to get out of there with a win. It’s a very dangerous offense. I’m hoping they can win and knock out KC.

To be the best, you have to beat the best. Maybe we will get the AFCCG we wanted last year with Mahomes vs Lamar.

    • Interesting theory. However, knowing what we know about Ballard, I don't see this as the approach he will take.   One big reason is that the UDFA pool will be thinner this year...for many of the reasons you mentioned. COVID has really created a lot of unknowns and hampered players from rising up draft boards. And since the NCAA allowed an additional year of eligibility...many players are returning for a "super senior" to increase their draft stock for next year. This will create more competition for UDFAs...so if you want to ensure that you get a certain player...it's best to have and use a late pick on him.   So what I think you will actually see is an opposite approach where Ballard will look to acquire a few more late Day 3 picks, that he can use in lieu of competing for priority UDFAs from a list that isn't as strong as year's past. So you will probably see late Day 3 picks attached to any trade backs.   And then for significant draft capital via trade, I think he will be eyeing picks from next year's draft. I know people love to mock the Colts getting back all of these additional Day 2 picks this year in a trade back. And that makes sense...since they don't have a 3rd round pick. But they are down a (likely) 1st next year (at least a 2nd). And that's in a class where the player pool will be larger. Some might argue that it makes losing that pick sting a little less, but I don't think Ballard sees it that way. He wants to be able to pick from as large of a pool as possible.    So I think Ballard will look to recoup as much draft value, if not increase it, to take advantage of next year's class. That inactivity in FA is likely in part because of next year's draft. In a larger draft class, even late comp picks will have some value. If he can get a couple of extra picks back for next year...plus a late comp pick or two...I think they will prefer that method.
    • One of two things:   Take Brady in round 5 of the 2000 draft and let him hold a clipboard for a decade or hire Ballard in 2012.  Grigson was younger and no more established than Ballard at the time.
    • I don't know what to think. Purely scheme-wise and experience with simialar offense-wise IMO Lance makes the most sense... but I can see Shannahan liking Fields in that same role too.  That's the weirdest of smokescreen/smoke signals I've seen recently in the draft.
    • Ballard isn’t going to trade back every year. It’s just become an obsession with a lot fans that he will.
