You're telling me the Colts at 11-5 needed help to get into the playoffs while we've got Football Team making it in at 7-9 and winning first place in their division?

Also that the bears make no. 7 as an 8-8 team. 
 

NFC as a whole was on a down trend this year.

No different than the Chargers making it as an 8-8 team and beating the 12-4 Colts in 2008 with Rivers as QB. No different than Seahawks finishing 7-9 and beating the 11-5 Saints in the playoffs. Plus the 7-8-1 Panthers in 2014 beating the 11-5 Arizona Cardinals in the playoffs.

 

The difference is they all had legit homefield advantage with a home playoff game with full crowds. With Covid and 2020, there is no true homefield advantage to count on for WFT.

I'm not bothered by this.

 

Winning your division should count for something, even if your division is bad.

 

Had we not laid an egg in week 1 (or a few of our other games), we would be division winners as well.  The important thing is that we are in the tournament.
