His WR and DE are mostly misses but the rest are fairly good. He's got a pretty good success rate for draftees becoming contributors.

I wouldn’t say his WRs are mostly misses.  Cain and Fountain were late round picks.  Not unusual for those guys to not work out.  Campbell has been hurt it’s not like he can’t play at the NFL level.  He was extremely healthy in college so Ballard had no way of knowing injuries would be a problem.  Pittman has been really good for a rookie.  Patmon is having a red-shirt year more or less.  I know he wasn’t a draft pick but he also found Pascal as an undrafted free agent and he’s turned into a starter for them.  That has to count for something.
