Fair and fair. This was more aimed at those making it seem as though he's clearly regressing. He has that rare playmaking gene, moreso than any of his competition at the top of the position imo. Money-wise though, I'll admit that I don't even know what the top LB is getting paid rn lol. I just assumed that this would be the "next up", market set type deal, which I think he easily deserves. We're notoriously smart with money, but I mean... we gotta pay SOMEBODY, right? He's saved/iced so many games for us. I don't think we can just easily draft a guy to do what he does. How much more is 5/95 than what the market is rn? I should've started there.

It say mentioned this was still possible but last ditch effort. Said they all want an actualLT and to keep Nelson at his dominant position. This is all overblown in my eyes. But to your point @NewColtsFan we have better options at Guard in the early rounds IMO than him if we are dead set moving Nelson.

Don’t fear change. I’m glad the FO, is even considering this, although it may not be popular with the fans. It’s shows that Ballard is willing to get out his “comfort zone” and make a change to better the team. There are a lot of good reasons to potentially move Nelson outside. 1. He can fix the LT position 2. Money 3. Allow Ballard to trade back and acquire additional pick and draft Nelson’s replacement. (Q. Meinerz)

I know this is not indicative of the future, but if we are going by past picks, Ballard's better at picking O-Linemen than DE's since he's been here. Regardless, I hope it'll be OT for the first pick. As long as it's not Phillips DE, I'm good. His injury/concussion history is way too much of a gamble for the first round. Buuuuuttt, I also won't be surprised (would be disappointed) to see him trade down either lol
