I assume George Odum will fill in for Willis. Probably will see more of Tavon Wilson as well.

Reich said veteran S Tavon Wilson (31) will be covering for Willis.

Surprised Odum wont be starting for Willis. He always makes plays when he has to fill in.  Getting Buckner, Autry, and Kelly back is the biggest thing. Hopefully Reich has a plan for that left side. Watt could have a field day if he doesn’t.

Ryan Allen will most likely be called up from the practice squad, and punt for us Sunday.

Can he though? He was just signed and I thought they said he wouldnt clear protocols in time

He was signed to the practice squad yesterday, but Ballard mentioned that he had been looking at punters as soon as he was made aware of Rigo's condition, and that was last week so Allen may have already cleared protocols for all we know.

I’m hoping the Steelers hold on so we can ruin their perfect season. :goodluck:

Let’s get the run game going with Castonzo out. Hopefully that will take some of the stress off the O line.

Hopefully we win this game, and get a little healthier as we prepare to take on Vegas, Houston again & Pittsburgh.

I'd love that! Hopefully KC loses another game before then so it wouldn't cost the Steelers the top seed. If they know that they can afford 1 loss without surrendering the AFC's #1 seed, they may not fight as hard, preferring to enter the postseason as healthy as possible but if we can win there, it could give us the AFC South title, in addition to a ton of belief & confidence in the event that we have a rematch several weeks later with a trip to Tampa as the prize.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. One week at a time.

Better than it looked at the start of the week but please double and triple team Watt at the left tackle spot.

so he lines up against the lt now? i thought it was usually the RT unless he was on a stunt or something

If they're smart, they'll move him around. I recall an interview that Raiders great Howie Long was giving in which he outlined how he moved around and stated "Instead of just 1 lineman having to prepare for me, all 5 have to prepare for me!"

He lines up all over the line.  I am sure he will get some rushes on the Colts backup left tackle.  They would be beyond dumb not too and O’Brien doesn’t work there anymore.

    • Trade a 1st for Wentz ? Are you mad? The Eagles at this point will take whatever they can for Wentz to unload his cap. Why would we deal a first?
    • Does teams that play outside most of the time, have a better chance of winning a SuperBowl?   I know it's nothing new, but looking at the past winners, only a few Dome/indoor teams have won the big one. Latest indoor team to win was the Saints in 2009, and before that, the Colts in 2006.    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_Bowl_champions   So my question is, do you think it really matters or have any significant part to say for a teams chances of winning i January, that they play most of their games indoor?   Sometimes it looks like, that indoor teams do worse in January compared to outdoor teams, that are used to play outside and that they just have easier to win in the elements.
    • You got me. Can i come back guys? It’s freakin COLD up here at my Uncle’s place!
    • “We”, as a collective, must feel pretty good overall about the future of this team if we waste this many posts on a subject that, lets face it, has no real bearing on the future of this team.  Not in any primary, or secondary role in my mind.     But, alas, here goes. I’ve always thought the “love” cane from him coming in when our heads were still spinning from Luck.  JB did have some success early, and he always said and did the right thing, whatever was asked..... and more.  How bout the end zone celebrations with the D?   After the injury around the Pitt game, he never looked quite the same.  Sure, the production didnt meet expectations, but he gave all and never conplained.     He has all you want as a leader.  He just hasnt had that “light switch” turn on that i think he has in him.  I think, in the right system, with the right team, he could be productive.  He just needs to find some confidence and accuracy.    I like the kid...... still.  He’s been a great “Colt” role model.  Love to see him get a chance and succeed somewhere.   That said, anyone else notice how all of a sudden it seems MOST of the league has young, exciting, promising QBs?   Seriously.... ALOT of teams.
