I like Stafford as one of the many options, but it would probably take your first round pick (maybe they would go for 2 2nds) IMHO Dalton doesnt have a future in this league more than a backup I would MUCH rather take a chance on Stafford and 2ndly Winston over Dalton, as Winston with the "QB Whisperer" Reich as well as his time this year listening to S. Payton and getting tips from Brees he may be ready to move forward as a better than average QB He put up 456 yards and 4 touchdowns on us 2019 (The only game I attended in person) (he did throw 3 picks) If the coaching would put a more conservative approach and use the run to set up play action, and deep routes, AND teach him to throw the ball away, he could be a great VERY CHEAP pickup -

When I look at Superstars, I look at guys like LeBron, A. Davis, K Durant, J Harden, J Embiid, K Leonard, Luka, and PG is playing like one now in LA. There is a difference between Superstars and being an all-star as you know. -

I’m just trying to think this thru.... I don’t think Ballard would like to pay TWO QBs, especially if one of the two he needs is already on his roster. I’m not sure if anything happens in March, especially this year with Covid. That leaves April and May to test Eason as much as possible to answer a pretty important question — is he ready to be the backup? I assume it would be mostly white board work with quizzes. What to do in this situation or that situation? Plus film work. Plus some on field work. Again, not sure how much of that will be available? I don’t think Ballard can wait until camp in July or until the preseason games in August, can he? By then, if the answer is no, it’s too late to get someone he would feel comfortable with — isn’t it? Again thinking out loud. If theres a better scenario, I’m open to it. Wouldn’t you rather pay Eason on his rookie minimum to be the backup, than someone else 2-3 million to do the same?
