I predict more holding  calls

The theme song of today's win

I predict no one will care about anyone else's predictions.     (I get this prediction right every week.  But no one cares...)

This is the time of the year when you have to stake your claim on what's rightfully yours.  We have to make a statement.  We took the division lead from them and the last thing they got coming to them is for us to give it back.  I could tell we were the better squad from the first matchup.  Time to rise to the occasion!

I haven't been able to watch the last couple of Colts games just listened to them on the radio.  But it seems they have gone a lot more no huddle the last two games and they do very well from it.  So, if the Colts play a significant up temp game on offense, I don't think the Titans can hang with the Colts.  But there are still a lot of unknowns.

  • Will Reich stick with JT, even if he fumbles or is not lighting it up to start?
  • Will Eberflus finally develop a 1st half game plan instead of waiting for the other team to have two scoring drives before he starts to figure out what they are doing and adjust things to stop it?
  • Now that Pittman is going to get more attention, will someone else step up and be that consistent WR that can beat zone or 1 on 1 matchups.
  • Will Reich play the field position game?  I don't remember the exact stat but last year most of Tenn's scoring drives were 60 yards or less.

    • So here’s a new thought that I’ve had when it comes to Jenkins. If Mechki Beckton can play LT in the NFL, why can’t Jenkins? I’m interested to get your and @NewColtsFan take on this.   However I would take Cosmi just because he actually compares favorably to Castonzo.
    • You only watched part of that game. The offense was completely inept in the 1st quarter until Miles Sanders (part of that lack of run game in PHI) broke off a beastly 74-yard TD run on 3rd and 9.   Wentz was good on the next drive...and they scored again. But on the first possession of the 2nd half, Wentz throws an INT near his own RZ...and PIT gets the TD and PHI is down 17.    So he is definitely gets some blame for that loss. And many other games last season as well. There is plenty to go around in that organization.
    • Yep. Think Ballard said he would build through the draft from the beginning. He is doing just that. Both sides of the ball, all phases will be littered with recent draft picks. He is going to have his team on the field this year. I love the core of this team. Really hope some others step up their game.
    • Teams are built to sustain by drafting well early, forming a key core unit, and continuing to stack drafts and be smart through free agency and roster management. That means not spending big or past value which is all anyone does in free agency. That means letting guys test free agency and willing to let them walk at a high cost. And continuing to find solid players throughout the year on the waiver wire and through other means, such as trading.    Ballard to me is as good as anybody on roster management, especially this early in his career as a GM. He had a tough break with Luck retiring. Maybe he had a good feeling that would happen when he signed on. Maybe he didn’t. He’s managed it well with that adversity. A lot of GM’s would have bombed after that. They bomb anyways. Ballard has not. This team is going to be built to sustain. Now it’s time to win some championships.
    • Sam Cosmi is a better fit for us imo because he can play left tackle. However, I think Teven Jenkins is the better player.   Cosmi's lack of knee bend in his sets scares me a lot. He just doesn't play with enough leverage. If we take him I hope we trade down first.
