I predict more holding  calls

The theme song of today's win

I predict no one will care about anyone else's predictions.     (I get this prediction right every week.  But no one cares...)

This is the time of the year when you have to stake your claim on what's rightfully yours.  We have to make a statement.  We took the division lead from them and the last thing they got coming to them is for us to give it back.  I could tell we were the better squad from the first matchup.  Time to rise to the occasion!

I haven't been able to watch the last couple of Colts games just listened to them on the radio.  But it seems they have gone a lot more no huddle the last two games and they do very well from it.  So, if the Colts play a significant up temp game on offense, I don't think the Titans can hang with the Colts.  But there are still a lot of unknowns.

  • Will Reich stick with JT, even if he fumbles or is not lighting it up to start?
  • Will Eberflus finally develop a 1st half game plan instead of waiting for the other team to have two scoring drives before he starts to figure out what they are doing and adjust things to stop it?
  • Now that Pittman is going to get more attention, will someone else step up and be that consistent WR that can beat zone or 1 on 1 matchups.
  • Will Reich play the field position game?  I don't remember the exact stat but last year most of Tenn's scoring drives were 60 yards or less.

    • Even if you take a guy where the talking heads predict (and that's debatable), does that totally absolve a GM? Folks always give Ballard credit for scouting, etc. and finding the guys (and being better better than the talking heads). This time he took a guy (Wilson) that was predicted to go in 60s-90s at 46, and it was a miss. He was graded 6.2 by NFL.com, and the 6.2s ended at 95. So it's even debatable if 40s wasn't a reach. Anywho, if you're going to give credit for finds, you also have to take credit away for misses. And Wilson was an obvious miss.   Rhodes, Moore, and Carrie were all great in FA. Rhodes and Carrie had track records to judge in the pros though at least. Moore was a slam dunk.   Tell hasn't done anything yet. Harriston isn't on the roster. I don't know who Taylor is.
    • Huh?   First, two picks is too small a sample size.   Not when the jury is still out in Rock.   Talk to me in a year.    There was nothing wrong with taking Wilson where we did.  It was exactly where he was supposed to be drafted.  It just didn’t work out.    Also, if we’re going outside two draft picks, since you used the word “recruiting”...   I’d simply say Kenny Moore, Xavier Rhodes, to go with Carrie.    Then I’d add the later round draft picks... Tell, Taylor and Hairston.     I don’t think CB has anything to apologize for just yet.
    • OK, @PRnum1 gets LAC. @SaturdayAllDay gets NO @danlhart87 get KC   @RNGDShobby is up @MPStack on deck @JediXMan in the ho @stitches get your bat tarred.    1 @WarGhost21 Colts 2 @chad72 - jags 3 @Archer jets 4 @Nickster  - Patriots 5 @EastStreet - Dolphins 6 @JoeThornburg -  Pitt 7 @BProland85 - 49ers 8 @Defjamz26 - Eagles 9 @Qwiz - Houston  10 @jvan1973 - Falcons 11 @PRnum1 - Chargers 12 @SaturdayAllDay - Saints 13 @danlhart87 - Chiefs  --------------------------------- 14 @RNGDShobby 15 @MPStack 16 @JediXMan 17 @stitches 18 @ColtsGermany 19 @luv_pony_express 20 @diogoSales 21. @Coltsman1788
    • I wouldn't say CB has gone as poor as DE drafting, but CB hasn't gone well. Rock was his first pick in 19 (gotta hit your first pick), and Wilson was early capital (early 2nd IIRC) in 2017. The fact Wilson is no longer on the roster likely amplifies the feeling for many.   Overall, DB recruiting has not been a strength (especially early), and to say we have some questionable scheme picks would be an understatement.
