Franklin broke Landry's rib(s) (IND vs CLE)

Not sure how many fans want to watch injury situations. I typically don't watch broken leg and ankle/ACL tear replays or videos. Just doesn't generate feelings I want to experience, so I generally avoid them. But, I know America's funniest home videos was a major hit and it had a LOT of videos of folks taking damage in all sorts of ways. For that reason, I am pretty sure some of the fan base will want to know about this injury and perhaps view the hit that caused it. Here ya go!

Zaire Franklin's hit on Jarvis Landry after he caught a 32-yard dime from Mayfield broke his rib(s) and caused him to crawl off the field (Game was Oct 11, 2020).

Video is here:

Landry got stood up by Rhodes and then got sandwiched by a solid hit from Franklin!

I knew it was something like that as I watched it happen.

Ouch! I remember seeing Landry crawl off the field, but assumed he probably got the wind knocked out of him.

It looked more serious than just getting the wind knocked out of him.  The hit was to his side where those small ribs are.

I figured he was done after that play.  I couldn't believe he kept playing.  :woah:

Yep I know exactly what okay it was. He caught the ball and Franklin came up from behind/side of him and got a good hit on him. He crawled off the field but I didn't think it was broken ribs, definitely thought it was the wind knocked out of him too. That sucks though.

    • I wouldn't be mad if Ballard traded up to pick Bowers. He is a game breaker TE. With Woods still being an unknown it would be a smart move imo.  Just imagine having both Bowers and Woods on the field at the same time? Mercy lol
    • For what it’s worth….   This is the short version of the interview.  About 4:30.       Later in the day,  Eisen posted the longer version, the full interview.   It’s roughly 11 min long.    I’d post it if I could.
    • I'm going to try this again this year, I think I got last place last year.    We will trade down, because Bowers or Nabors won't be there at 15.     Round 1: a-Jackson Powers Johnson, g/c Oregon(I'm sticking with my mock draft)                     b-Brian Thomas Jr., wr LSU                      c-Taliese Fuaga, t/g Oregon St.      Round 2: a-Junior Colson, lb Michigan                      b-Edgeron Cooper, lb Texas A&M                      c-Jaden Hicks, s Washington St.      Round 3: a- Marshawn Kneeland, de Western Michigan                       b-Kamari Lassiter, cb Georgia                       c-Jarvis Brownlee, cb Louisville       Round 4: a-Jamari Thrash, wr Louisville                       b-Beau Brade, s Maryland                       c-Jaden Crumedy, dl Mississippi St.       Round 5: a-Willie Drew, cb Virginia St.                        b-Jowon Briggs, dt Cinncinati                        c-Luke Mccafrey, wr Rice        Round 6: a-Dwight McGlothern, cb Arkansas                         b-C.J.
