The story of this game is that we’re getting no pressure on Mayfield and they’re getting all kinds on Rivers.

 

There have been some other issues.  But that’s the game in a nutshell.

we need to build for the future we are not ready to be a real playoff team yet .   we have some good young pieces but need to stay young . this is why bringing in rivers made zero sense to me .  if we were one player away from being a contender maybe . we need to keep building get rid of the older players .    bringing in a QB who throws 25 picks a season to a 7-9 team made no sense .  this is why i wanted to draft  a QB with the 13 pick

This is exactly why Rivers is not in SD anymore I dont know why people want to believe he is good for us. His true self showed in the first game then we just ran the ball and defense for the next three wins. Bottom 5 qb rating in the league. Worst 3rd down offense in the league.

the defense is carrying rivers the first 4 games .  you cant win with him .   in big moments he throws a pick .   his whole career he could throw the ball well but when the game matters he cant score or throws a pick .  chargers were right to dump him .

Quite a turn round, i was in the middle of wtiting doom and gloom, but then-what a turn around. 

We still need to find a way to stop them scoring and id we do, we will be in with a shout.
