The bears are really good on defense and he has one real weapon at WR who has not been playing well give him some slack.

I'm not busting on Rivers, I'm stating a fact... What is Rivers overall yards average through 4 games like 250 a game or less? That's Brissett production

Rivers is doing his job. Better than Brissett. Not really his fault that our guys drop balls and Hilton is playing like a shell of his former self. The idea was that Pittman would be our end zone threat. With him and Campbell being out, who is left? Every team is going to double Hilton/Doyle/Mac in the end zone now.

Just relax and stop looking for things to complain about when we’re winning on all sides of the game right now.

Go look at his yards per attempt. I think you will find he is light years better then Brissett was. More plays 20 yards or more.

Rivers had a near 80% completion percentage coming into today and can get the ball down the field.  That is not Jacoby level production.  He has so few yards because he doesn’t have to throw.  The one game he put it in the air 40 times he had two picks and the Colts lost.

I'm sure that's true, but what is the overall average of yards per game? I understand we are running it a lot, but still, weren't you expecting Rivers to be at least 300 a game with at least 2-3 TD's each week?

No then we would have gotten Winston.. we need a smart QB that can read the D get the ball out fast, or hand it to the RB. We dont need a gunslinger.

Don't bother brother, too many blind rivers followers here. Not worth the effort to type.

It’s not blind Rivers followers it’s that he’s being efficient.  Is he Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck at this point in his career?  No, but the Colts have put a team around him that doesn’t require him to be either.  He’s an upgrade over Jacoby and that’s what this team needed.

Why did we give up 18mil to Rivers to get Brissett production?

Week 5 upcoming and we have a much more expensive Brissett under center...

I don’t usually break this out, but dang man, enough already today. Enjoy the win.

Not sure you understand the difference between opinion and fact.

Do you watch the games? Or do you just look up stats?

Yes I am over the people who feel like they have to trash the Colts every week.  They are 3-1 they are doing something right.

    • Some team will gamble on Hooker. He will only be 25 and he’s a former lottery pick with huge talent. A $7M AAV would put him just inside the top 15...just ahead of guys like Ricardo Allen, Vonn Bell and Tre Boston. I think a team would look to lock in a second year team option of sorts...but maybe not. Either way...he should have suitors and will have an opportunity to at least get a good one-year deal to rebuild value. Edit: Obviously this is assuming Rhodes has recovered and can pass a physical. If not, then he probably gets half that and possibly might not even be signed until during the season.    Rhodes was a top 10 player last season...at a premium position. He produced a ton of value on his pillown contract...and now he gets to cash in. With a very good track record (even at his age), he is going to command a nice 2-3 year deal to finish out his career. A $12M AAV would pay him just outside that top 10 range for CBs...and this deal is similar to the one that Haden signed with PIT after having a late-career resurgence.  Knowing Ballard...I am sure he would structure it in a way that they could get out after one year if Rhodes fell apart. But given the current state of the CBs...they almost have to re-sign him.
    • Rivers would be a better comp in terms of mobility and arm strength, but Rivers had next level read/anticipation back then, had bad talent around him at NCS, and averaged 3000+ for 4 years.   Not at all the same. Eli and Rivers might be OK comps to each other, but comparing Jones to either is a no go.
    • When we see those trades now  its for linebackers with high sack numbers  like Khalil Mack.    I think you could get a 1st for Leonard now, but it wouldn't be anywhere near as high as Philadelphia's #6 overall.
    • You rather I compare him to Rivers. Same thing basically.
