Falcons are king of choking lately

That’s for sure! In October of 2016, I drove to Atlanta to watch the Chargers play the Falcons. Atlanta led by 10 at the half, but only scored a field goal in the 2nd half. San Diego got a field goal in the 3rd Quarter and scored 10 points in the 4th, to tie the game. Atlanta missed a 58 yard field goal in their dome as time expired, resulting in overtime. The Falcons got the ball 1st but were stopped on 4th & 1 from their own 44 yard line, turning the ball over on downs. Six plays later the Chargers kicked a 42 yard field goal to win the game.

Approximately 4 months later in the Superbowl, Atlanta led the Patriots by 25 points midway through the 3rd Quarter but failed to score so much as a field goal for the remainder of the game and in what had to be a distressing case of déjà vu for them & their fans, they helplessly watched New England score 25 points to tie the game and force overtime. The Patriots won the toss and got the ball 1st and after a touchback on the kickoff, they marched 75 yards in 8 plays to score a touchdown, and win the championship.

All I’m gonna say, after spending my childhood years in NW Indiana, I’ve had to hear those bears fans chirp. Beating them in the Super Bowl was the single greatest experience I’ve had as a fan.

I’m more worried that it’s foles than trubinsky but if there is anyone that knows foles it’s reich

Mitch Trubisky got Chicago to 2-0, and was pulled in favor of Nick Foles after a bad ½ of football that saw the Bears down by 13 with 3 punts, a missed field goal & an interception.  Foles was abl

27-20 Colts.

We will run it down the Bears throat and control the clock with Taylor and Wilkins. Rivers will game-manage well, and the Bears will find trouble running the ball themselves. Reich's knowledge of Foles will be a big difference as we hold him below 200 passing yards and sack him 5 times.

We wear out the Bears throughout the game and win in the end.

I have no idea what to expect. This is the colts first real test. We need to win because the browns are looking pretty good.

Browns are smoking the Cowboys. When we play them that will be far from automatic.

We will get a good test on our secondary. Hopefully we can get enough pressure on mayfield to force some mistakes. We really need to win today because the brown can score.

    • I hear you, but my gut says if you don’t see a guy that instantly shows you he can be great, you probably don’t take him in the 1st (at least as it pertains to QB’s).    Plus I feel like a lot of what he has we’ve seen before. The guy who isn’t special but is efficient. That screams Mitchell Trubisky, Blake Bortles, Brandon Weeden, Jake Fromm, etc...   Now he’s playing at a higher level than those guys did in college, but he also has a ton of talent around him. Also let’s not forget about the season Dwayne Haskins had his final year. And Haskins also lacked a stand out trait. Elite college production isn’t a trait.
    • It would say not injury related like it says with Houston if it was exposure. This is exactly what happened with Autry before he got put on the list. They most likely have symptoms and are just waiting for it to show up on a test like Autry. I hope though it’s not covid related but it seems it is.
    • For what it’s worth...    Regarding Rivers’ injury, if it’s indeed “turf toe” — and it’s not clear that’s what it is — but if it is, that’s one of the worst injuries a player can get.   Players say it’s among the most painful injuries you can get.   They often describe it as like “walking on broken glass” with sharp, shooting pain.   “Turf toe” doesn’t sound bad, but it is.     So let’s hope PR’s injury is some other type of toe injury and not turf toe.
    • We don’t  know if Blackmon and Rock have or were exposed to COVID. Until the Colts put them on the COVID/reserve list like Buckner its just speculation.  Definitely a compliment. Lol
    • These statements are essentially the exact same things word for word that were said about Quincy Wilson.    Intercepted Rodgers and then what happened on the very next defensive drive? He had a 51 yard DPI that resulted in points for the Packers. Back to back weeks with a PI call. There’s still 6 games to play too. He had 8 penalties last year, and right now he’s at 4.    Being a 2nd round pick comes with certain expectations regardless of the position. Especially considering he was awarded a starter spot. That also comes with expectations.
