CCH
Lol 3 people have said Peyton Manning even though the OP says never on th Colts. Have I stumbled onto an alternate universe in which we picked Ryan Leaf #1 in 1998?

JCPatriot
I'm fond of Victor Cruz. The guy was catching TDs like crazy from Sorgi in preseason a couple years ago, but never got a chance to play in a real game because he was so deep on the depth chart. Then the Giants lost some WRs to free agency, and he stepped in and took full advantage of the opportunity. I have a lot of respect for that. MAC
Never a Colt -Ray Rice. I keep an eye on any former Rutgers player, but Ray is special and I like the Ravens anyway.Eli Manning.Larry Fitzgerald - from when I was following Edge on the Cardinals. Just incredible - and a gentleman as well.Amongst the other 20-30 RU players unfortunately a good TEN of them play for either division rivals or NE (IE: Kenny Britt, the McCourty brothers). I can't say that I root for them, other than rooting for them to be traded.I respect and appreciate a lot of players, but it's hard to get to the point of them being a "favorite" when you don't care if their team wins. One odd exception - Mike Kafka of the Eagles. Maybe it's just the name - but I enjoyed watching him in college a couple of times, and I detest Mike Vick. If Kafka is playing I switch from cursing the Eagles to rooting for them. Anything to diminish Vick. The NFL needs a QB named Kafka

ReMeDy
Devin Hester. Even though he was turned into a WR, he still makes some spectacular special teams plays every now and then.
