Well just like last years opener was on Vinny, this one is on Rivers. 10 points off his TOs. We brought in a vet to avoid plays like those.

Yes and no..... We brought in a vet to be capable of consistent nfl throws.... We all knew Rivers would throw one or 2 picks a game....

So did Jacksonville have a pre-season? If they are better prepared with the same time and conditions, that says our coaching staff failed.

This colts org. Has had weird games when Injuries force In game changes from key players, ours or the opponents.... We've made backups look like hofers for years....except for our own

Hmmmmmm. Werent numerous polsters calling me Negative before the season?  I didnt jump on the Rivers bandwagon.  I have zero confidence in this defensive scheme. And remeber, this is Ballards choice of D system and D coach. Minshew has missed 1 pass and has 3 tds. Let that sink in. I said in numerous times this team will no go far with this defensive system. Everyone thought Buckner would complete this D. It is early and win or lose. This is not a good showing

I'm new here, and the defense has been far worse than I was led to believe lol.

the way ballard and reich get talked about , you would think they both won multiple superbowls and had a decade of winning . both have losing records with the colts and the teams defense looks horrible and the offense cannot finish drives . I just never understood the hype they got .

The hype who got?

How is throwing three picks something you think we knew would happen? Stinker games happen but not like this. This is not an acceptable level of play.

Buckner has had 0 impact

rivers has had a negative impact

our two big adds have not shown up. Get rid of hooker now

Buckner did have a tackle for negative yardage.  But you would expect his name be called more.

    • He's very... lackadaisical... doesn't always finish the defender. On the other end - Greg Cosell mentioned that everything looks easy and effortless for him, like he didn't even need to exert himself in order to do his job. So... I guess it's a matter of how you look at it. I personally ended up putting him very high on my board because when I asked myself "how important finishing the defender in the dirt is for an OT, if he does everything up until that point almost perfectly?" my answer was... "not very at all"... You probably won't get a ton of pancakes and defenders buried by the sideline like you would with Jenkins... but you also would get everything you need from a LT when it comes to pass-protection technique, great feet, very good movement in the run game, very strong anchor... Just Darrisaw looks like a guy who just... does his job... he won't go the extra mile to tea bag an opponent, but we already have that in Q and who knows... maybe some nastiness rubs off on him by playing next to Q?
    • For the Colts, or overall?    Sewell, Darrisaw and Slater are top three, like you have them. I was thinking there was an outside chance that Darrisaw might make it to #21 but I'm starting to doubt that.   After that, it's a mix of guys who I think would be rough as Year 1 starters, but have the tools and potential to play LT. Cosmi, Jenkins, Little... I haven't watched some of the other guys, but several of them have the length and reportedly have the movement necessary, but I don't know about the combo of balance and power needed.    Leaatherwood, Lichtenburg, etc., probably are Day 2 and beyond prospects, and projects, but seem to have the necessary tools.    After listening to Ballard, it seems like we're going to have Tevi, Davenport, and maybe a Day 2/3 rookie competing at LT. Combine that with Irsay's comments on Nelson (and influenced by my own strong opinion, for sure), Nelson isn't in play at LT.
    • Who are your favorite prospect specifically for LT?
    • I was listening to a podcast and they used the "Lazy" word about Darrisaw (Supposedly this was shared by some (or one) scout)   Could be a smoke screen   Just a data point....
    • Eichenberg has alligator arms, as does Mayfield, and neither did well on RAS.  Nobody is giving a first round pick for these guys.    Pick 33 maybe, but not 25....they would only be bidding against themselves and should wait for either to fall out of the first round.
