My final Colts Season Predictions

We should dust them. They won't have a running game, and have lost a ton of production on D. If we don't win by 10+, something is really wrong. Not overlooking them, but they are 32nd ranked for a reason.

I have us winning by 10 like I posted but if we are really on it could be worse.

I'm thinking 20 or more unless we play VERY VERY conservative. And honestly I don't see us being very conservative because we need to get in some experience given who we play game 2.

I could see it being a few teams, but ATL is not one of them.

20? Let's not get too confident.

If we win it will be within 10

Vegas already moved their line to 8 due to heavy action on the Colts. A lot of pay sites have listed the Colts in their lock picks when the lines first came out at 7.

Not saying it will be 20 or more, but they'll easily cover, and it should be 10+. Looking at both teams in detail (take a look at the stat and personnel write up I did), my gut says 20.

I agree, it will either be Washington or the Jags IMO.

Those are my two picks. But I'm thinking Jax have a considerable edge right now. The only way they don't get the #1 pick is if Minshew has a crazy good season.

This is how I see the season going, and every season before and after this one:

Colts at Jags W

Vikings at Colts W

Jets at Colts W

Colts at Bears W

Colts at Browns W

Bengals at Colts W

Colts at Lions W

Ravens at Colts W ?

Colts at Titans W ?

Packers at Colts W

Titans at Colts W

Colts at Texans W

Colts at Raiders W

Texans at Colts W

Colts at Steelers W ?

Jags at Colts W

I concur with this, floor 13-3 ceiling 19-0, all seem like a def win, I put ? next to potential losses

The Jags will pull off a couple divisional wins and a couple more surprise wins here and there. I say they finish 4-12 or 5-11.

I think their ceiling is 3 wins, but could just as easily end up with a perfect goose egg. If I had to predict a number, it would be 2-14, and that might be generous. I just don't see them winning an AFCS game. Maybe they beat Houston with a lot of luck. They aren't going to beat Indy or TN. Upsets almost always happen, but they're simply a bad team in 3 of 4 phases of the game, and that's assuming the passing O is decent (which is a generous assumption).

nope...

Yeah I cannot see Carolina finishing ahead of them.  They were bad last year and lost Keuchly on defense, although I DO like Derrick Brown.  But they don't have much left there anymore.  Carolina looks like a 4 win team to me.

Carolina picked up some solid defense in draft and I think Bridgewater will pull off some good wins.

Ryan is getting older and the Falcons in my eyes didn't do much to improve. Gurley is solid if he can stay healthy which he hadn't proved lately. I wasn't thrilled with the draft either drafting a 2nd round CB at 16.

Okay, most people on here pick us to be mediocre. So what the problems with this team and what do you expect Ballard to do to fix it?  Because I don't see any weaknesses but most of you must and I'd sure like to know what they are. Because you guys must think so with your mediocre record predictions. So what are they then? I'd sure like to know because I don't see it enlighten me. I've seen 9-7 10-6 those are mediocre predictions. Is it Phillip Rivers? Is it the running game? Are you prediction slough of injuries that something you can't predict.

10-6 isn't mediocre. 10-6 is a good record, now 8-8 or 9-7 could be considered mediocre I agree. I have us at 10-6 maybe 11-5 which is good. We have a strong roster, especially O.line but our secondary is still questionable and our WR core is young. Also can TY stay healthy as the elder? So I am not ready to say 13-3 or so. I think Rivers will be good but he is older as well. The 2nd half our schedule is tough on paper too. We need to start off like 6-1 because on paper the 1st 7 games are favorable then things will really look promising.

Go Colts!

First day back after a two week absense.

Wanted to make sure I reached out to say you were right about the Jags game.    Here in California, I can't see Colts games.    I see small amounts of high-lights on the NFL Network and the Red Zone.    So, I don't pretend to know what happened week one?    What a mess!

But, bottom line:    You were right and I was wrong.    Wanted to acknowledge that here when I returned.

Congrats!

    • Every year Ballard does a film session with the media showing them  film why they drafted the players they did. Here are some notes. As they write their stories I will post them here.
    • Darius Leonard didn't sign his contract until July 23d. It's alright, folks. With the new CBA there is nothing that can really happen. Sooner or later the contract will get signed.
    • People here don’t complain about the process, because people here don’t know the process.   Almost no one here does.    People here complain about the outcome, especially if it disagrees with their opinion.     So, for example, people here hated LaRaven Clark.   A few seasons back, Clarke had to play a fair amount for the Colts in the first month.   PFF gave him a passing grade, I think in the 60’s after the first quarter.  People here went nuts.   The team was struggling and Clarke was the designated person to blame.   By the end of the season, Clarke’s grade was lower, but that didn’t matter.  Once people here decide something is bad, it’s incredibly hard to change hearts and minds.    When Chip Kelly was the Eagles coach for two years, he HATED pff.   When he got fired, he accepted an invitation to visit and see what they do.   Kelly was so impressed that he became an investor.  Cris Collinsworth too.    It’s my understanding each game, is graded three different times by three different people and none of them knows what the others have done.     They’re not perfect.   I think their NFL grading is better than some of their college work.  But overall, I think they’re helpful.  Very helpful.
    • So I know most expect mack to be gone what if he still decides to come back  even after this year ? I feel like a lot keep discrediting how good he was before Jt lol his vision is still better I’d assume between the two
