Was wondering if Lock would be on front of Burrow..

I personally think Darnold is to low. I think he is going to be a stud.

Kinda surprised Goff is that low, bit he did regress a little last year, imo.

I think Rams took a hit by losing Cincy + GB head coaches.

More so GB coach.

I have mixed thoughts on Darnold.

I think Lock is going to have a very good year. He got two really good WRs, and one of my favorite TEs in the draft. Going to predict he ends up top 16 in next year's countdown.

That's fair, the guy did go 7-6 last year though. With a team that wasnt that good, imo.

I think he is a winner, probably a little bias with being a USC fan, but I really dont think that is it. I just think he has it.

I agree, I think Drew Lock is going to have a big year.

Maybe I'm being unfair to Darnold because I think USC sucks :-)

Yeah, they're not very good right now.

Growing up watching ND, is how I became a USC fan. Just because they played each other every year. They've stuck with me.

Did you know Darnold was above .500 last year?

I'm a ND fan, so of course I don't like USC :-)

Yes, I knew Darnold was above .500

My thoughts on him revolve around his horrible QBR. He's got flashes, but that QBR is just bad.

I dont think he will ever lead on statistics, but like I said he has the demeanor to be successful.

Hopefully you dont hold it against Pittman Jr.

If you had the 21st pick and all of those were still available, which one would you take?   I'm leaning towards Burrow.    He's got the highest ceiling, but as an unproven rookie, one of the lowest floors.

Its a tough call.

Leaning Darnold

Lock and Burrow are neck and neck for next in line.

At least were getting into the part of list we can have some questions about it.

JB should of definitely made this list though.

I would stay away from Darnold myself.   I just don't think he has a very high ceiling.  Kind of like Dalton.   Good enough to keep the starter job for several years but not going to take you to the promised land.

I don't think he will ever be a leader statistically. I just think he is going to win a lot of games.

Being over .500 last year with that Jets team is impressive.

Lost every game without him.

I guess Darnold is just a little more proven at this point.

Lost evey game without him.

Statically I'll go Lock this year, but like you said Burrow probably has higher ceiling.

our guy has finally made it.

Seems low to me, ready to see how this plays out.

Chris Simms ~ sub par QB, looking like even worse of a QB evaluator.

Seems like a solid list so far. We all can probably guess the top 10.  Jimmy at 20 has to be very depressing for niner fans.

Its definitely improving. Was brutal for a while.

I still think JB should be on the list over a few of those lower ranked guys.

JB is tough one. I think maybe he is top 50 but I have no issue with him being out of top 40 even though some of the guys have not played yet like Tua, Stidham, etc.

I am not the biggest JB supporter by any means, and in no way think the list is bad because he isn't on, but he should be above a case keenum or the gadget qb out of NO.

I would have him in front of Foles, Taylor, Dalton is a close one. Hell I would rather have him instead of. Fitzpatrick to.

I dont mind some of the younger guys

Tough to give final verdict on list as its incomplete. I guess we will see.

I would not have JB on the list.   Mostly because his ceiling is so low.   Taylor is one I'm not sure of.  Just looked up his stats from his starting years in Buf.   Better than JB.  Fitz is a tough one.   I think he is capable of having a better season than JB.   He does throw for more yards.

I actually think Taylor is a pretty good QB.

All things included JB had a pretty good season last year. Wasn't up to the standards that us Colts fans are used to, bit I still think he shoild be rated in front of a few of those guys.

Gadget QB with 14 career pass attempts rated above him? Idk.

Like I said though, I'm not holding that against the list, just an observation from my opinion, that he should be rated above a few of them.

Cant really rate the whole list till its complete though.

Rivers is probably that low because of last year, I figured 10-15 was fair.

Garoppolo is all over the place. Is he as good or as bad as people make him out to be? I’ve heard some say he’s the best in the NFL, and others claim he’s a game manager. Truth be told I only watched him one game last year...

Yeah, I figures 10-15 on Rivers as well, bit finishing top 10 statically after the year.

Garoppolo is a tough gauge. He wins games though, that's for sure.

I really haven't watched to much of him either, tbh.

Too low. Rivers is top 15 with ease IMO. I will do a list here in a little while.

so according to Chris Simms list of the top 40 QBs going into the season, we apparently have 3 of the top 40.

#4:  Andrew Luck

#12: Phillip Rivers

#31: Jacoby Brissett

Anyone else confused

For what it's worth Colin Cowherd still has high praise of AL. tbh, a focused AL could "potentially" be a top 5 QB.

In hindsight, i’m not so sure Luck was 100% focused on football for some time even before he decided to call it quits.  He was definitely a different “cat” , and once the injuries started piling up, he appeared to somewhat drift away.

Not judging, but looking back now, the signs were definitely there.

I just realized Tannehill has not been listed yet.  I’m not sure I would take him over anyone in the top 20 besides Allen.

Who else is missing from the guys I assume will be on the list?  Newton?

Mahomes

wilson

rodgers

watkins

Cousins

Tannehill

Prescott

Wentz

Jackson

Stafford

Ryan

Murray

Here is my Top 10 going into the season:

1. Patrick Mahomes

2. Lamar Jackson

3. Aaron Rodgers

4. Russell Wilson

5. Tom Brady - I still have him top 5, he had very little weapons last season. Old but still scary.

6. Drew Brees - old, not great like he used to be but still very good.

7. Deshaun Watson

8. Big Ben - I see him bouncing back. The year off will do him good IMO.

9. Kirk Cousins

10. Phillip Rivers - the more I studied it, I still have him top 10 but barely. Lets see if I am right or wrong on that??

Did you plan to do a thread when you post yours? You should just create a "post your top xx QBs" thread

I went ahead and kept it in this thread but I thought about your idea. 11-20 is tough, Dak may be 11?? I left out Wentz, Ryan, Stafford, and Jimmy G as well.
