Chances of NFL playing in 2020 seem to be pretty decent

I personally know people who have been hit hard by this disease. Some were in the hospital for over 3 weeks... Some lost their lives. And a good portion of them were healthy and not that old.

This disease is real. I can’t fathom why some aren’t taking this more serious. The reason we are doing the things we are doing is because this is an unknown virus. We barely know much about it still. It could end up being less lethal than the flu, and if that’s the case it’s great news. But we don’t know yet.

It’s not about fear mongering. It’s about listening to science and facts. I’m listening to the doctors and nurses. Not the politicians on either side of the coin.

People compare it to the flu and have the position of let it run its course.  Let the chips fall where they may kind of attitude. The reason this is different is because Covid is highly contagious way more than the flu. If we did business as usual, the health care system would never be able to keep up. U would have line  ups in emergency rooms. It would get to a point where people would be turned away to simply die at home. I would say take America for example. If we did not take measures what would #'s look like? Currently there are 1.5 million cases with 90,000 dead. I believe if measure were not taken the number could be 10 times that if not way more.

Steelers are only selling half of their game tickets in preparation they will have to have fans socially distance at games.

This is from a raceway in Florida. I have a feeling we will get at least some fans for the nfl  season.

This is great. We might actually get mini camps. I can’t wait.

Giants and Jets technically play  and practice in NJ. I suspect NJ will follow this lead. If not they can always go practice in NY. We should see players start to come very soon. CA Said June 1st.

Looks like we are on the way for players to be able to report soon.

If they do have fans, please please improve the accuracy of those contactless temperature checks, they are a joke. My chiropractor's office uses one and I always end up reading 94 degrees F. :dunno:

It is hard to trust those, IMO.

I seen that the NFL VP said until they are told otherwise they are planning to have full stadiums.

It seems the virus is fading  a bit and they are figuring things out. Places like Florida are letting fans into raceways ect. Seems we are moving towards to at least having fans at some capacity. I think we will see players reporting soon. Hopefully we have a mini camp in a couple weeks.

So excited. Can’t wait for the rookies to get here. Plus to hear about how guys like Eason and Pittman look.

Getting closer. In Texas they said fans can return to outdoor sporting events at 25.% capacity also. Seems we are moving a little closer to having some fans at games by Sept.

This is all going to come crashing down. I doubt sport leagues willcontinue for much longer when they do try and play out a season.

I can’t rwmsmber what sport or country but they started back up and have only had 3 cases out of 3k.  Everything is moving in the right direction for TC to start on time.  Players won’t be playing sick like they might with the flu. With testing and precautions I feel optimistic they will be able to play without wide spread infections. We have knowledge so the chances of a player playing or being in the facility while sick is pretty low. With all these protest if there isn’t a spike you can bet they will probably even start with fans. If there is no spike after all this mess there’ is no reason to not have fans.

I disagree big time. I predict a disaster if sport teams are allowed to have fans in stadiums.

Reich said the colts coaches won’t return to the facility until the players do but starting tomorrow coaches can return. Miners are the only team not able to return. They are working with the officials to make that happen. Seems players will be able to return soon.

Texas is going to be allowing fans at 50% at sporting events. Hopefully other states will follow this in the future.

I haven't heard that any games are eliminated  yet.   London games aren't happening, though. The Jags might be unhappy about that since London is like their second home.

Flu plus Covid-19 for the second wave is what concerns me given the timing of the football season, if fans are allowed back in, even at 50%.

Just the players and coaches and their families, there is a greater chance for constant monitoring and having a successful season from start to finish, IMO.

We are moving closer to having fans for games. Indy 500 is planning on fans in August. He said they feel good about it happening. If not it will be pushed back until Oct.  He said they won’t have it without fans.

If there is not a spike in infections/hospitalizations after all these protests of hundreds of thousands of people gathering and literally on top of each other then there is no reason to not have full football stadiums in Sept IMO.
