I think you make a lot of good points, but I really don’t believe this part. 
 

As much as Ballard loves his picks, he is not wasting one that he might cut, especially a 4th rounder where he can still find talent (Marlon Mack, Nyhiem Hines, Grover Stewart,  Khari Willis were all 4th rounders). I believe he is just removing some of the pressure by ramping down expectations. Listen, I love the Eason pick but more than likely he doesn’t see meaningful time for 1-2 years. 
 

He is on this team as 3rd stringer this year and if “he works his nuts off”, lol, and Rivers comes back for 2021, he will he backup in 2021. Then he will have 2 years to show he can play before his contract is up.

He has Joe Flacco written all over him if he pans out. Joe throughout his career has been above average, he played great during his SB run. I will take that as long as we have a good running game and a great O.Line.
