Child Please, Chad Johnson   love it, great clue!!

Sid Luckman?

You all are impressive at these. You're like those experts who can look at only a girl's butt and deduce her identity.

Lol. Are you sure it was I that did? I don't remember. But I do remembe reading that somewhere.

Do you remember the Gang Green Nation article you shared at the start of 2019 season? You may recall the QB now.

I don't recall it. The QB is in the HoF?

Yes correct

Ah, when you said he went to play basketball, I thought of TE.

I like your clues. :D

So, do you know which QB has thrown only 1 TD pass to someone drafted in the first round?

Yes, he's a true Gun Slinger.

Ha. Lol. Brett. That's the kind of thing he would say. Was it Detmer who was the backup? This is starting to ring a bell.

Yes, Brett the Hit Man Favre.

Here's the article from Gang Green Nation, very good read and wild stories of NFL.

Dan answered it earlier. I too read and forgot about it, that seems very surprising for a 12 year veteran QB. He's right he has not been given first round skill position player in his career. They couldn't have handled it worse. I think that's the worse part of getting Hof QBs in succession, front office takes it lightly and feel good enough if they win once with the said QB.

Yes, Detmer was the backup. I have no idea who he is.

Ty Detmer was a career backup in the NFL. He played in Philly for a while, IIRC. But as 2006CBE wrote, he was a good college QB. His brother Koy (or Coy) was also an NFL backup.

He also started the first game for the new Browns

I was one of the best defensive players in the 97 Draft and had a solid 14 year career but I'm currently serving a very long prison sentence.

Darren Sharper?

I enjoyed an 18-year career in the NFL, playing defensive back for two clubs. I won a National Championship in college and received several awards, including the Heisman. Many believe I will be a first ballot Hall of Famer.

roman reigns GIFi was trying to add image from URL, but failed miserably. I've added before, but forgot.

I thought Roman Reigns also went undrafted and signed by Vikings. Probably more examples there.. Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Brock Lesnar...

Yeah, I thought about it after I posted, that there was more than one.

Thought really lays the wood might help seperate them.

I went undrafted because teams doubted my measurables. After my 12-year decorated career, I hold the most receptions by any undrafted player in NFL history. I played for 5 teams including being favorite target for two of the best HOF QBs. I celebrated my career by buying a racehorse which I named Undrafted. Who am I?

Any guesses to the last clue? I believe I know who it is. The clue says that the player caught passes from 2 of the best HoF quarterbacks. I don't believe that either of those QBs has yet to be elected to the HoF. Actually, one is still active.

It could be Wes Welker?

I am a WR drafted in the early 2000s. I had a knack for making people laugh on and off the field and guest starred on a few comedy shows.

If you know who I am post a gif for him.

Plays hard every down

Lays it all out in the field

Energy is great

Always a jokester

Strong determined player

Earned right to be one of the best

    • Depends on pick..for a high 3 rd maybe
    • I absolutely hate how Reich handled the A.V. situation last year when A.V. was losing games for us and it was clear there was a problem and Reich did nothing until.....too late. I think that if Rivers plays poorly against the better teams that are coming on our schedule, Reich will stay with Rivers until it's too late. Call me an iconoclast but I don't subscribe to the idea that the only solution for the QB position is QB#1 all the time and QB#2 never sees the field unless injury or the season is "over". A Colts fan from 1967 I never lived in either of the Colts home markets and living in the Bay Area I saw all the Lamonica/Blanda games in the 1970 season (if you don't know what happened that season look it up as it's NFL history worth knowing) and it made an impression, even though the Morton/Staubach Cowboy teams advanced the "only one QB" case to the opposite. The A.V. situation and the going for it on 4th obsession made me question if Reich coaches with his head or his heart, I see his judgement as suspect although I don't hate him.
    • My response wasn't emotional.  There are business decisions that go beyond the talent vs pick equation.    Its not like we have decided we don't why TY back next year.  And the 4th round pick is just going to get us more depth JAGS, which we already have aside from Pittman and Campbell, both of whom are second round picks that the new 4th round guy won't displace.   All we're doing is risking losing TY if he plays better, with only our typical off the team/on the team revolving door talent to replace him this year.   And, if we keep him this year and he signs elsewhere in the spring, we might get a 4th round pick anyway, albeit a year later.   To me, it all adds up to keeping a family member in the family hoping that production improves, until the employment contract runs out.  Then you talk business.
    • I think they had a plan for Taylor going into the season, and tried to stick to it. He's coming from a really different blocking scheme and I think they expected it would take him a while to adjust to the timing. I do think they should have ramped it up a bit more though. And I also think they used Hines to much when they should of used JT or JW.
    • Colts win 24-20, we get to 5-2 like last year. Thanks for the game day thread.
