Goodbye Brissett

With no qb under contract after this season it was absolutely necessary to draft one. I'm not sure he ever gets a chance to start, but hopefully can be a capable backup

YEAAAHHH baby,

listen, he's got more raw arm talent than anybody on our roster.

if we can coach him up, he could be a steeeeal in the 4th round.

this is an interesting 4th round pick

Well I was wrong.  I am not a big fan of this pick with that said I am going to pull like crazy for him since he’s here.

Same here.  After watching jet O’Sullivans breakdown he was one qb I didn’t want but I am sure that I’m wrong

This is how he’s described on CBS Sports....another big lmao

Jacob Eason QB, WASH

Height: 6-6, Weight: 231

Play-through-the-whistle mauler in the run game with minimal effectiveness (and experience) in pass protection. Heavy-footed and lacks lateral agility or recovery skill. Very one-dimensional player. (Chris Trapasso)

The biggest problem is he lacks mobility and does not do well under pressure.  So the Colts will have some work to do.  The good news is that he has some good teachers in Reich and Rivers.

Good pick in the 4th round, low risk, extremely high reward.

Would we rather have our history of 4th rounders, e.g. Montori Hughes, Josh Chapman, Zach Banner? ;)

  • Thanks 4

He’ll get the opportunity to learn under Rivers for a year or two.

Jacoby is gone.

If Jacoby is gone thank god if he is willing to put the work in he will be a good QB but if not he will be cut within 2 years.

Who is to say he will be better than those guys?

That being said, I am kind of indifferent on the pick

We will see how far can he go here. I wonder what it means for other QBs on the roster. Kelly  will more likely be cut, or Jacoby traded?

I think its him vs Kelly for 3rd qb and Jacoby stays.

Banner is atleast still in the league with Steelers.

I love this.  He has the arm talent to be a starter but needs some work.  Of it doesn't work out he is a 4th round pick.  We are not attached at the hip to him like we would a higher pick.

    • “That Old man Rivers...he just keeps rolling aloooong!”    Glad he had a better outing against the Vikes.  Hoping he can continue with more games like that.  Offensive game planning and run pass ratio was much better and I believe that allows Rivers to be at his most effective.  Eventually I expect opposing defenses to sell out more to try to stop the Colts running game and put more of the game pressure on Rivers’ arm.  We will see how well the Colts can adapt when that happens.
    • Blackmon won me over when he refused to let that a Viking ball carrier jump over his head. It was like he was sending the message...”No...We are having no more of that nonsense...not this week and definitely not on my watch!” My man did not suit up to be put on anyone’s poster.
    • Hopefully Campbell can overcome this and have a successful career with the Colts.  Right now he seems snake bit.  Too many injuries and not enough time on the field. I don’t expect much out of Parris usually because we hardly get to see him.  We get glimpses of what he can bring but rarely get the benefit of him. So his absence doesn’t really phase me much.   The Colts will continue to do what they have always done and that is play without him.
    • I wasn’t born yet for that one but as a fan who is here because of the Colts’ Baltimore roots...that Super Bowl upset loss to that Jets team on our resume really irks me.
    • Jets are one of those teams that always seem to play the Colts tough even when they are considered bad.  The last time the Colts played the Jets was in 2018.  Everyone expected a Colts win then too but they lost to them. That lost had this forum on the brink as most of us (myself included) were ready to toss away any hopes of the Colts making the post season that year.  That was before Luck caught fire and the Colts made an incredible run to make the playoffs.
