I love it! Very worthy shot to take at a QB. Get him in camp, see how he does over the year, how he interacts with teammates, how seriously he takes his job, is he coachable, etc. He has a ton of physical talent. Now lets see if he has the rest and the drive to reach his potential.

How do we take care of this?

Carry 3 on the active roster and let CK go or put him on the PS

I agree. Good use of a 4th round pick. The kid has a chance to be really good.

I'm concerned about  work ethic rumors, but like his arm

Took a really long time to make that pick too. Wish they took longer and just missed the pick haha

Comp for now is between Eason and Kelly.  Brissett is #2.  Next year is up for grabs depending on what kind of season Rivers has.

Mistake. Wasted pick. Such a good draft until this nonsense.

Wow what just happened. This guy is a project but getting him in the 4th is a steal.

Ballard said last night when’ve asked about a WB we just aren’t there yet. Lol he new this was going to happen.

Maybe they will use this guy to throw the ball back to the offense when passes are overthrown deep in practice.

I'm really wary about Eason's composure under pressure. Hopefully its coachable, but we'll see.

Same. But IMO it's a worthy risk to take in R4. If he pans out this is a huge bargain. Hell, even if he becomes a stable backup, that's still valuable in the league. Instead of giving 8-10M for a backup vet.

I'm sure Ballard vetted that thoroughly.  If a problem he wouldn't be wearing the Shoe.  Eason isn't a perfect prospect but I believe Reich can get him right.  That arm of his is legit.

Well, if he can't learn from Philip and Reich, he likely was never going to have much of a career anywhere. So now we'll see what he does with this GREAT opportunity he's just had dropped in his lap.

He is a project. He has played very little football. If he comes in and works hard he could be a steal with that arm. He can make any throw.  At worst we have backup.

The probably thought he'd never be there so that's possibly why it took so long. Had to have some discussions. That's my guess anyways.

Chris Mortenson is saying People questioning Eason's Work ethic, and character concerns.. we will see. He does have a cannon for an arm.

Chad Kelly was fun to watch in camp, but I think it’s a no brainer to have Eason take his place. Young guy with talent, and Chad Kelly has already screwed up his chance at becoming a every week starter IMO.

Yep, biggest weakness in his game. Fromm stay in the pocket as a statue which leads to problems, while Eason becomes frenetic and panics and starts spinning back trying to escape without much of a plan. Lets see if they can coach him up.
