Ballard for two guys that will contribute day one.

By the end of today, Goodell will be reading the picks from his bed

Buckner is a freakin all-pro. Relax.

I remember you got the athletic center last year too... I guess it makes sense in your type of offense that wants to run tons of outside zone. I remember he had trouble with playstrength too though. Cleveland has similar worries in his game - to the point that some question his competitiveness. I don't know about that. He has freaky athletic traits though, this type of athletes don't usually bust so... here's hoping for the best, I guess

Great. I appreciate reading your impressions. We can't afford players to bust. So, I hope you're right.

This has been a fun draft so far. Lots of activity today, lots of interesting picks. Can’t complain about the Colts or the Bengals from my household.

You know that belichick setup is fake. He has a super spy room in his dungeon

Actually probably has vans outside other teams houses...hacking their WiFi.

A bit of a red flag though

they don't mind taking a gamble on players Hill/Hunt it works out sometimes but they don't mind taking a gamble at all.

Only safety on the board left that I like is Ashtyn Davis.

Panthers having a great draft so far. Don't know who they are putting at corner, but the defense has definitely improved.

Brian Burns, Kawaan Short, Derrick Brown, Yetur Gross Matos is a nasty D-Line.

Not always. Like I said, I'm fine with it. In general, I just don't care for early round RBs unless they are complete backs. And he's not really complete right now. IMO, he's an upgrade from a speed perspective, but still not an experienced pass catcher, and really not a power back either. Bigger, but not a power back. Mileage is a bit concerning. I do prefer him over paying Mack a bunch. But I'd have been as happy picking a guy up later, or waiting till next year.

Ya but I believe the problem can be fixed he has broke a lot of tackles he isn't really easy to bring down either.

I believe Colin Cowherd has always been a Colts fan at heart. Especially during the Luck era. He likes Chris Ballard and Jim Irsey alot.

Im also not really concerned about him catching the ball cause believe it or not we really don't throw to the running backs that much besides that's what we have Hines for anyway. I don't know about the rest of you on the forum but for me I don't need him to catch the ball I just need him to secure the football and run which he does very well.

    • Buckner is a freaking monster. Would not have wanted to be that tiny WR trying to get that ball back from Buckner. He’s playing with a chip and I like it No. And he’s wasnt gonna be worth much to trade either. Plus you can’t trade a player on IR. Oh and the trade deadline has passed.
    • I don’t think they want to change the entire offense to suit Taylor this year. It’s not as simple as people think.
    • Which if he’d had any balls, he’d refused.
    • By now most should realize the Colts prefer to retain their own as much as possible.  The defense is much improved with the signing in place but always room for improvement at key positions.  Below is my FA/resign list have already put together mid-season.   Colts FA ~58m: QB Jacoby Brissett 21.3 WR T.Y. Hilton 14.5 TE Jack Doyle 8.5 RDE Denico Autry 5.7 ILB Anthony Walker 2.2 S Tavon Wilson 750k DB Tremon Smith 750k (keeper?) WR Marcus Johnson 582k (practice squad) S Malik Hooker 4m WR Ashton Dulin 542k   Resign ~ 90m QB Philip Rivers 26.3m (probably will drop) DE Justin Houston 11m (3-4 good years left like Mathis and Freeny) DB Xavier Rhodes 8m RG Mark Glowinski 6.9 (improved game this year) RDT Grover Stewart 7.5m (most improved player on defense) DE Al-Quadin Muhammad 3m OL Le’Raven Clark 1.2m DB T.J. Carrie 1.2m (special teamer) TE Trey Burton 4.5m S George Odum 1.25 TE Mo Alie-Cox (RFA) – 6.25m DT Taylor Stallworth 1m (otc hit 4.8m in 1 game) LT Chaz Green 850k (special teams) WR Zach Pascal 7m RB Marlon Mack 4m (when healthy proved to be lead back) C Joey Hunt 300k RG Jake Eldrenkamp 200k (special teamer) Edge Cassius Marsh 250k (special teamer) TE Farrod Green 200k (practice squad) S Ibraheim Campbell 200k (special teamer)
    • Originally was thinking we would be closer to 100 mil in cap space but sounds more like 75 mil.  Kind of why for this example only budgeted ~40 mil for FAs after calculating ~95 mil to resign players while leaving a minimum of 20 mil to sign draftees.  This should still allow discretionary cap space for the Club to do as needed short-term.
