NFL Team Facilities to be Closed after Tomorrow....

This is a late breaking story from the NFL office.

 

Each of the 32 team facilities will be closed after business tomorrow.    There are exceptions which are explained in the story.    The signing of free agents CAN continue.

 

This will last for at least 14 days, with a target end date being April 8.     At that point,  they will re-evaluate based on how things are at that time.

 

Some within the NFL community think it would be a bad look to hold a major event during April,  which is expected to be the worst month for the virus.    So,  I'd prepare to have the draft pushed back at least two weeks into May....    Maybe more.

 

It should be clear that the spring events, practices, OTA's will all be wiped out.    So,  there will likely be a draft in May.   And then perhaps the rookies will come in for their first practices before the veterans...   but with some luck, the regular season camps will open -- on time -- mid/late July.
