Campbell after watching tons of film on the kid and his first year with you folks a great fit for Rivers he’s ideal for crossing routes and can play the Eckler slash Keenan role here just fine ,Campbell is much more athletic than Keenan Allen ..Zach kinda looks like a poor mans Inman to me .Rivers did ok with Inman but he was very inconsistent. Like I said I’m encouraged by Campbell he’s a stud and will kill it with Phil .

BNew here and from NC ,Just my two cents on WR .I have been to just about every one of Phil’s NC state games and followed his career .Jericho Cotchery ,Vincent Jackson ,Antonio Gates .This is the type of animal we need for Phil .A player who can seal off and high point in a crowded phone booth .The player I’d target right now is Devanti Parker with Miami .I would then go TE at 34 and best DB available at 44 .Rivers has never had a fan base cheer for him as a pro ...Phil will love playing for the Colts in a stadium that offers this man an advantage .Phil has played 16 years behind a terrible Oline .With Devanti ,Ty ,a young  beast at TE and the older one this is a team ready for one hell of a year .

How would you target Parker? Don’t you think if Miami wanted to trade him, they would have last year when they were trading other players? Instead they signed him to a new contract.

I’d love Parker here! Just doesn’t seem very realistic.

I mean even if we draft a WR in the 2nd we’re still likely going to be pretty weak at the position this season...

Although, at least in my opinion, that would have also been true with Funchess as well.

I will now root against Funchess.

He took his $10 million and didn't even play a full game for the Colts.

Rodgers is also an easier guy to root against compared to Brees, IMO.

I think I remember seeing this guy in a commercial dressed as a Colt player, but it was months ago. questions i ponder...Did Funch actually play a game? Was Josh McDaniels ever head coach of the Colts?

It's a business, and we got fleeced on this deal.  It's sad, but the days of trying to build a locker room full of players that will forsake big money to stay with a team is history.  Buy your favorite players jersey at your own risk.

Why I don't buy jersey's anymore.  I buy GEAR.

Me too.  I told my son I never fall in love with a player.  Only the team.

Packers got him cheap.

That’s incredibly low, although he does have some incentives built in to make it around the 6.5 million mark iirc. I’d rather have a deal structured like this as opposed to what we gave him last year on the prove it deal and then he got injured. I also wonder if the collar bone is heard right. He took the entire season and never came back at all. You would think if DF wanted to come back that CB would have given him this sort of deal as well to stay if the bone structure is 100%. By all accounts, DF was a good guy in the locker room. Maybe he just didn’t want to come back here, idk.

No way to know exactly how much we wanted him?   I think I once read his collarbone broke in five places.   Maybe team doctors feared a high likelihood of another break?

If you liked him enough to pay him $10 with three mill more of incentives, then all things being equal, you’d think we’d match or exceed this deal...

But all things aren’t equal.  The break was a bad one and we weren’t going to invest in DF twice unless it was at a price we were comfortable with...

    • @jimmy g      I was talking about the discussions in my college Political Science classes
    • I need to fix my post above so it doesn’t get misconstrue. If black lives matter why doesn’t anyone care about all the babies being aborted by black woman or the black on black crime. It seems that nobody cares unless it feeds into a agenda.  I have seen several stories of black officers abusing black kids and no one cares. Why is that,
    • More unarmed whites are killed by cops then blacks. 9 compared to 19 last year. No one says racism doesn’t exist but can we quit calling everything racism, Why does Nobody cares about the blacks killing each other or thr 700k black babies killed in the womb every year, This cop was a evil cop. It doesn’t mean he was a racist.   Start making changes in your community,   I didn’t own slaves nor did I murder s black man. I have seen so many whites feeling they need to apologize for nothing they did. I love everyone. My cousin is married to a black man and has biracial kids.
    • I'll give you the same 'Come On Man!'  That I told a co-worker a few years ago. We were talking, and he, as a 25 year old- told me "You've never been a slave, like I have".   He had dropped out of college on an athletic scholarship. I was working a full time job and a permanent part time job to put my kids thru college. We both had identical jobs on the loading dock. We both made identical rates of union pay. He had a nicer car and nicer cell phone than I. Yet he considered that he was a slave. Slavery was abolished in 1865. ...  it was an attitude that someone had taught him - to be a victim.  No one was holding him back, but himself.
    • Who in the top 20 players, besides QBs, would you trade Nelson for? Not saying we should, but who would provide more value to our team? I can only count a few players.
