Any Word on D. Funchess?

Has anybody heard if the Colts are trying to re-sign him? Or any other rumblings?

If anything...I think it will be similar to the Geathers situation last year. Let him test FA and see what's out there...and offer up a cheap one-year deal.

I think if we sign rivers we might have a better chance of getting him back. I think Ballard wants him back. He even hung around the team after he knew he wasn’t playing again.

He is a quality receiver, we saw that in OTA's, Mini-Camp, Pre-season and the first 3 quarters of the first game. Re-Sign him because he is a quality receiver AND because he knows the offense already. TY at the Z, Funchess at the X and Campbell in the slot with Pascal as a reliable blocker, gunner, kick returner and 4th WR. Add in Fountain and a rookie or two to the mix and that is a decent mix.

I agree. If we re-sign Funchess and is the 34th on a good TE we would have a pretty decent group.

I think we resign Funchess as soon as we sign a QB to replace JB.

I actually wouldn’t mind resigning him to a two year deal instead of a one year prove it deal. He would probably be cheaper to do it that way. He is a proven veteran.
