WR DeAndre Hopkins to Cardinals

In a surprising move, DeAndre Hopkins is headed to Arizona.

 

The Cardinals have acquired the star wideout in a deal with the Houston Texans for running back David Johnson, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per sources informed.

 

The Cardinals will receive Hopkins and a fourth-round pick and in addition to Johnson, the Texans will also receive a second-round pick for this year and a fourth-round pick next year, Rapoport added.

 

To me, this is the biggest story of the off season and may be the biggest if Brady stays in NE.

Big, big win for the Colts here. Not only did the Texans almost give one of the best WRs in the game away, but this also gives us more leverage draft wise because now the Cardinals may not pick a WR in the draft anymore.

Whoooooo Houston still doesn't have a GM do they?  They tryin to screw it up so bad no GM wants to go there? Now they STILL have next to no picks.... A QB.... No no.1 wr capable of a healthy season.... And most likely still no running game. 

 

Could have kept Miller or Hyde.... This doesn't save much, but I guess Hopkins gets his new deal now

One of ESPN’s top writers has CRUSHED the trade.   Gave Texas and O’Brien an “F” grade.   Said there’s no defense for the trade.  That the trade doesn’t work on any level....   from what they gave up to what they got back.   Totally crushed this deal.
