As deep as the wide receiver class is, I'd take Kmet with the 34th (he will not be there at 44) and draft Eason with the 44th. A reciever nobody is talking about that's being slept on is Q. Cephus out of Wisconsin. That's just my wishful thinking/opinion.
My preference for 34, in no order
imo WR will be addressed with the 44th pick. Deep class their will be a good one there
I’m all on the draft a wr early wagon but this oline class is deep. Not many times you can get a high end offensive tackle in the 2nd round. Also a RB is truly needed. Someone that can give mack a breather, while not much drop off. Swift is a top 20 prospect on many boards. He’d be great value at 34.
What I don’t understand is why, before the combine, a lot of scouts were saying he has late-1st round talent, but his speed was a knock on him pushing him down a lot. Then he came in and dominated the combine, proving them wrong, and people still say “No, he isn’t a 1st round caliber player”. Makes no sense to me!
My issue with JB is that he's consistently shown the same thing in college, in 2017, and in 2019. I don't see anything changing with his willingness to throw deep and his accuracy to do so.
I'm definitely not sold on Trubisky, but again, I really don't think Nagy is anywhere near the "offensive genius" he was touted to be and could be significantly stunting Mitch's development.
If a move like this were to be made, I'd trust that Ballard and Reich think any deficiencies with Trubisky are coachable & correctable. I'd also be ok with it never happening, because that tells me the inverse.
