If Lawrence decides to stay his senior year this tactic will be incredibly foolish. Unless we go 0-16 (we won't) there's not even a guarantee we would get the #1 pick. 

 

This team is not completely void of talent. We've done the once in a generation quarterback route. It's time for something different.

This is just a year year bandaid sign a vet like rivers or trade 4th for a guy like Carr or cam if the going price is cheap. Cut hoyer keep jacoby. Draft a top WR in the first rd if the Qb you want don’t drop to you now depending on what Qb is left I would be comfortable trading back the second 2rd pick and take Fromm or hurts late in the second early in the 3rd with the intentions of them sitting a year .

We have three(3) draft picks in the first two rounds. If you get a FA like Rivers, draft a QB, IL, RB. I believe will be in the playoffs. Rivers durability will factor in the decision process as well, only 38 and others like Brady, Brees, in their 40s and the latter won a SB.
