Bproland85 and Danlhart87 Round 2 Mock Draft

Recommended Posts

I won’t be free to do that until this afternoon.

And with the 34th overall pick Indy drafts QB Jordan Love to sit and learn for a year from Reich and whomever the starter is in 2020.

Reich mainly needs to work on Love’s decision making and fine tuning his pocket presence and he should be fine once that is corrected.

Indy selects WR Tee Higgins from Clemson. Best player available at a position of need.

Indy gets their big WR who can go up and high point balls better than anybody in this draft. He also has good speed for his size, and is a long strider which can be a weapon in getting separation. Once he improves his route running, he could be an AJ Green type WR. And Clemson always seems to develop quality WR prospects.

If the Colts draft a Kinlaw, Love, and speedy Higgins, that's the KC chiefs blue print. I would be elated.

Well obviously Higgins has no where close to the speed that Tyreek Hill has. Higgins is more the AJ Green type WR.

How about just until the Colts pick in round 3. Then we can stop.

    • Maybe Jon Hand.    Bradtzke wasn't even here very long, would be interested to see those numbers. For some reason, every season I'm telling at our DL to get their hands up and always think back to Bradtzke.?
    • Wilson and Mahomes II will fare better than Jackson and some others more similar to Lamar.  These two have extensive baseball backgrounds, especially Russell.  Patrick's dad was a Major League pitcher.  They both know to to slide properly, and also when when to slide/duck/avoid the throw to first on a double play attempt.  This transfers to slide in the NFL to avoid big hits.  Other QB's don't learn this trait well growing up in football, and also seem to be more inclined to be a 'tough guy' and grind a couple more yards, or try to twitch out of a tackle.   Cam's game is to use his legs often, not just throw or hand off, and the hits pile up.  There's only so much gas in the tank. It's prudent to wonder how much Cam has left in his.
    • The Jets Situation - The offensive line was a disaster.  Expensive free agent Le'Veon Bell had only 3.2 yards per carry.  And 2nd year rookie QB Sam Darnold had few weapons to throw to.  It wasn't all bad.  7th in total defense.  2nd in rushing defense.   Free agent moves (some of them, anyway) George Fant, OT, Seattle (3 years, $30mm) Conner McGovern, C, Denver (3 years, $27mm) Greg Van Roten, OG, Carolina (3 years, $10.5mm) Josh Andrews, OG, Indianapolis (unknown yet) Breshad Perriman, WR, Tampa Bay (1 year, $8mm) Pierre Desir, CB, Indianapolis (1 year)   2020 Mock Draft 1/11 - CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma 2/48 - Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn   And with the 68th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select   John Hightower, WR, Boise State   @ColtsGermany with the Carolina Panthers is on the clock
    • I think you'd have seen Ryan Tannehill play with passion for Titans, he has his limitations but he played with willpower to win, he elevated other players who had accepted their team as below average for past 4 years of Mariota, he played perfect complementary game for a great RB, he played for his team and not for his stats, he played with a point to prove after being discarded in the league, he made plays to win against tough teams with unbelievably better talent like Chiefs, Ravens and Patriots among other games during a great comeback into the playoffs.    That's the kind of QB you need to start building everything around him with a goal to win SB.    Yeah, he was one of the other 25, just one example, I'd happily trade for.    The above explained were all intangibles that Cousins doesn't have unfortunately, and he would get blame on so many other players and coaches, other position units (just as you said) and franchises throughout his career for his lack of those intangibles, which make for a successful QB.    I'm sure you would continue to blame Vikings defense (!) for all the rest of the years of Cousins in Minnesota along with all other position groups like OL and other external factors like coaching, game plan, injuries,....   I'd continue to expect at least one full season from Cousins the way Tannehill played for Titans where no one needed to point fingers at anyone even in defeat because they know they all gave their best!
    • Good point about McCarthy. Dugger it is.   With the 67th pick of the Gavin Mock Draft, The Dallas Cowboys select:   Kyle Dugger, S, Lenoir Rhyme   The New York Jets and @John Hammonds are on the clock till 4 pm ET
