More coaching additions

Recommended Posts

Thought the WR coach was promoted to quality control. Seems like a lot of cooks in the kitchen. That could be harmful. Have no idea who these two guys are.

The old WR coach has the title of “passing game specialist” or something like that.

Lots of offensive additions and minds. Going to be fun to see if it changes anything.

Parks Frazier is offensive quality control coach. He was assistant to the Head Coach for the past 2 seasons. https://www.colts.com/news/coaching-staff-changes-2020

Seems we now have two offensive QC coaches.

The old good-cop , bad-cop approach i guess.

I Definitely am reading to much into this but might as well go with the hot take. Sounds like Johnson is another former QB, maybe another addition to help a rookie QB work on footwork and how to be a Pro QB aka reading defenses and how an NFL offense works

Quote

Since 2015, Johnson has served as the owner and pro day prep director at The Quarterback Club of Houston LLC. He has also been the Nike Elite 11 quarterbacks coach and the head coach for Nike The Opening (2017 and 2018 champions)

    • Yes, Zimmer wanted Rhodes back. He defended Rhodes many times. It was not only his play that forced the Vikes to cut him. It was mostly because his salary was too high and the Vikings needed to make salary cap space.   Thanks for your understanding, PT. It was I who originally mentioned Cousins. I know not to bring it up again. I did not realize that criticizing the QB of my team would have brought out the wrath of Colts fans.
    • Mountain West conference doesn't get many TV spotlights nor the athletes on a consistent basis for most of us to pay attention.    Logan Wilson started rising after his Senior Bowl, then came his Pro Day when scouts from 22 teams were there:   https://www.si.com/nfl/broncos/draft/denver-broncos-draft-board-wyoming-lb-logan-wilson-climbing   After the combine, it was reflected in his nfl.com rating as well:   https://www.nfl.com/prospects/logan-wilson?id=32195749-4c74-7370-743f-2000a41bbeba   When you have a team captain with no red flags that has been highly productive, that is the kind of guy most teams gravitate towards without worrying about the high floor the player can bring to the table.
    • I agree about his play       There was a rumor Zimmer wanted him back
    • What is it to you? Cousins does not play for your team. Why do you care what Vikings fans think of him? Serious question. I could not care less what you think of JB or any other player on your team.   Btw, it sounds like stats are all that matters to you. I guess in 2015, you wished you had Blake Bortles as your QB. He threw for over 4,400 yards and 35 TDs. Guess what? He was a big loser in 2015.   Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
    • Bringing this full circle to Rhodes...he is available because of his play last couple years and especially late last year. My hope though is we use him differently.
