Colts leaning towards Brian Baker as new DL coach

Going to have to do some research on him. What style of defense I’d personally like to see is us rushing with our front four. This is why I’m advocating for a Defensive Tackle this year. We have the linebackers now that can work out is space. We just need the guy to collapse the pocket and get pressure up the middle consistently. We can win any game with that style of defense.

Interesting... was just reading a mock draft suggesting Terrell Lewis (Edge from Alabama) will be selected by us in round 2 of the draft.

This would line up with the rumor from a SB writer that said a source told him we wanted a guy with a ton of experience. Rumor also stated that Phair was going to get fired regardless because we didn’t like how he was handling rotations/wasn’t playing the young guys enough.

Would be a good hire considering the work he did coaching up one of the best DLs in recent memory in college at Mississippi State with Jeffery Simmons and Montez Sweat and then also having experience at Alabama.

I can’t wait to see how this change effects the dline. The last coach just didn’t seem very good.

It appears we are leaning toward him but there are other candidates.  This hire has taken longer than I was expecting.

I think that is a mistake. I think he would be DL coach.

If we can’t get Chris Jones, then we need a defensive tackle more so then ANOTHER edge rusher
