So with Reich saying he and Jacoby talked about doing some stuff differently in the last two games that raised a question for me.

Is there anything that Jacoby can do to change your mind in the last 2 games. I don’t mean that he is the franchise.

What I mean is can he change your mind about taking a 1st or 2nd round QB.

If you say yes, please tell me how or what he would need to do. Just curious.

No not the future he is a disgrace.

Write it down.  Colts DON'T take a QB in the draft.  Kelly continues to behave in the off-season and wins the QB competition in camp.  JB goes back to his destiny (2nd string), and the Colts cut Hoyer.  Write it down.

OK

I wrote it down......

There are just too many activities that would say thats NOT the way they will go

1) Why bring in Hoyer?

2) Why not give CK reps in garbage time?

3) Why put him on PS where he COULD have been EASILY grabbed?

You dont put you future QB on PS......  You just dont do it

There is something more about CK that the front office (And 31 other teams) are still nervous about

I have put the Chad Kelly hype on the back burner

I see a better player than JB

Better touch,  quicker release, quicker read, more mobile, .........  They STILL dont want to give him the reins

But.....  The Colts see CK EVERY DAY.......  I dont

Part of me thinks that they are doing the final review of Brissett

If you want to prove that you are the future starter, and maybe even be part of the team, you need to show it the next two games.

We can save 10M by cutting Brissett in 2021

Maybe a harsh approach but, if you cant be a starter, OR you arent developing to the point to be a starter, you need to be GONE

I would rather have a backup with potential to start later  (for my team or as trade bait for another team) than a backup that loses the game when he starts

Hoyer is 0-9 as a starter........  The odds say that he will lose the NEXT game that he starts

Why bother?????

Give me someone who can be better later......

My answers-

1) Hoyer was an emergency acquisition in the aftermath of Luck's abandonment.

2) The Colts don't want to tip their hand, as they ALREADY know he is fully capable.

3) Not much room on the roster at the time, and he hadn't demonstrated his new-found maturity, yet.

Just my thoughts.  :^)  It's already the offseason, in a way - so ...

I am with you more than you know on Chad Kelly

I thinks he has the tools to be a starter in the NFL

But...... The Guy HAS done some very STUPID stuff

STUPID usually doesnt get better

I dont think they are sold on the kid

But.......  I think there is a 50/50 chance that they DONT draft a QB......

I would be VERY dissapointed with that approach

I have no idea on what the front office sees in Brissett, (at this point) from their interviews, they seem to hold him in very high regards

Does he just need some more time to develop? (I have seen enough)

Does he just need some more weapons ? (I have seen enough)

I think there is probably an 80% chance or better that JB is the starting QB on day 1 for the Colts in 2021.

I will be FINE with that if we have someone to develop on the bench

I will be PERPLEXED with that if we have Hoyer as back up and CK on PS in 2021

I will still root for my beloved Colts......  But.... will be scratching my head on the decision

With you on everything thing other than the drafting a QB thing.  If Kelly has all the tools AND his head properly oriented - why waste a high pick?  Colts fan since 1967, so, whatever I'll also still be in their camp.

Dude,....... You are OLD like me :)

Wouldnt you think, if that was the case, they would give the kid a swing this year?
