Will Brees get 3 or more td passes this week

Recommended Posts

Will drew brees break peyton manning td record this week.  How funny/ ironic/ fixed is it that he throws 5 td last week vs a great defense and happens to be playing the Colts on prime time to put him position to break it. Brady is 5 behind.

Fixed? Really?

But yeah, that's not an impossible thing to have happen. The secondary is playing garbage football, the scheme is lousy and Brees won't have to do much thinking if the pass rush isn't awesome all game.

I hope not but....

If there is anybody that I'd want breaking Peyton's record is Brees...Just don't let that guy be Brady.

Also, Brees is another guy that is an AMAZING playes but rarely had the team...and when he had the team last year the refs made sure to not let him go to de Super Bowl.

All time passing leader, soon to be all time TDs thrown leader, highest completion percentage in carrer...he's another example showing that rings do not show the greatness of a player...looking at his carrer he should have more than one.

You should've made this a Poll.

I think he'll break that record against us. I've been watching Brees since he was at Purdue. He's probably my 2nd favorite QB behind Peyton.

They Both will be breaking this record.. Tom could actully do it first, which is what you probably dont want to see lol. Actually given how terrible the Bengals are. If he doesn't break it before Brees is that kind of a shock? I guess 4 is a stretch. But why else would a 40 something yearh old rich dude with 6 rings continue to play? lol i think it was for this record all along. :dunno:

Just as sure as he’ll cry every time he gets touched. He’s a bigger crybaby than Brady and he’s a fraud whose done nothing but feast off of this era.

But I will admit he was brilliant last week. I’d go as far as to say that that was his best game in many years. It wasn’t a statistical clinic but he’s been short good big games and he had a good game in that he played hard for 4 QTRs and almost won. He hasn’t played that well in a game like that in a long time.

Final Score

Colts     34

Saints   31

Brees - 2 TD passes

I like your confidence but JB is not leading this current team to scoring 30 on the saints

I agree, but I still think the Colts have a chance in this game, if we are able to run the ball and keep Brees in the sideline.

Of course, they’ll have to play great defense (minimal mental mistakes in the secondary).

I’m going to the game so I hope it’s close.

As far as Brees; he’s deadly accurate.

It seems the older he gets the more accurate he becomes. He keeps breaking his records

If not for a ticky tack P.I. call, could have been 3.

    • Fromm seems like a career backup   I think Eason is a better candidate for the tier 2 QBs
    • Not sure what you have seen during college or post college to determine that one Qb is a game manager and another other is not.  The physicality prism?     All the Qb can do is to see where to throw the ball, then throw it there accurately. The WRs have to go unscripted too, and find an open spot, or a spot that he can be lead to.      After 5 seconds from the snap of the ball, whether the Qb makes that decision and throws the ball from the pocket or by running to the right hash mark doesn't matter, other than being on the right hash mark provides half as many opportunities to see where to throw the ball and throw it there accurately.   If unscripted means that my $125 mil Qb is carrying the team by making 25 yard scrambles for TDs, and is treated as a runner, I don't want that.  Its pretty to watch and nice to have, but its not really what the Qb position is about, IMO.
    • I believe Reich has shown that he adjusts his offense to his QBs style, Therefore it's most important to get the best QB we can draft, instead of getting the best fit for a certain system   To me Fromm is like Gordon who has a lot to prove (if not more because he had a way more talented team). I keep hearing how smart he is but, Fitzpatrick is one of the smartest QBs to play the game and I wouldn't want him on our team, If we drafted him though I wouldn't trade back into the 1st for him because that would mean at least 3-4 QBs were taken and we could get him with one of our second rnd picks.
    • The scrambling ability is not why I don’t want Fromm. I want a guy that can put a team on his shoulders when things aren’t going right.  A game manager is not going to give us a team that can compete with Mahomes the next decade. The ability to make plays unscripted though is something that is important in the NFL today with players getting faster. Having a QB that can go off script when a play breaks down is huge.
