I have no idea where this mentality comes from.

I want my team to win every game they play.....every game.

Ok I could have worded that better. Basically not in the championship

or playoff hunt.  Why get JB more hurt if you need him next year and

your out of the playoff contention? Or at least really really close to being out of contention.

He couldn't be much worse an option at QB2 than Hoyer. He could probably easily throw 4 interceptions in two games and for far less money.

After the Pitts/Miami games I would just as soon see CK as the backup. It's obvious Hoyer isn't going to win you any games if he can't beat those two teams. So if JB can't play bring in the kid and se

Gotcha. But...all those guys in the locker room are built to win. I would guess that it would be damaging to the "Give it all you got" mantra, to suddenly pull players and protect the future. Honestly, I have not been a part of locker rooms any where near that level, so I can't say that for sure.

The Colts will never give Kelly a legitimate shot at winning the starting job. They will slog through the rest of this season with Brissett, miss the playoffs and then trade up in the draft for a rookie QB. My greatest hope for Kelly is that the Colts cut him at the end of the season so he can go somewhere and have a chance to compete. He will never see the field in the regular season here.
