Yeah that’s a great move. Let’s roll with Hoyer. Let’s leave Chad Kelly on the practice squad!!!! Hoyer really tore it up!!! Let’s stay right with him Reich!!!!!

How can you honestly waive Chad Kelly with the way Hoyer played today?  Hoyer has a noodle arm and is going to throw a pick or three a game.

You have nothing to lose at this point. Watch us beat houston again and still lose the division. This team is playing like they didnt even care. Is Pagano secretly calling the plays? I put the last 2 losses on Reich. He is calling * poor games lately. Good thing we fired our oline coach from last year! The oline is doing amazing!

Sure why not go with Kelly?  He probably wouldn't do worse than Hoyer.

I'm willing to try anything at this point.

I'm in on Kelly now too. I've seen Hoyer play like hot garbage for 7 straight quarters. I have no confidence in his leadership or decision making. None!

I think Reich would call a better game if he had better players. Hoyer is a back up to a back up in this case. Chester Rogers is a project from the get go. If you look at that situation from the receiver stand point, look who the passers are. Defense is descent for part of the game, then they get no offensive help. There was a reason Hoyer was available. JB was traded to us for a reason.

Colts have to aquire good players, not projects or developemental players. This team has never shown the ability to make players better or more complete. Belechek does it all the time. Just saying the truth.

I love Reich.  Never have I once criticized him.  He’s dealt with a lot and has done countless good things for the franchise.

He has been outcoached the past 2 weeks, particularly with his late-game play calling.  He’s starting to hurt the team with the Vinny loyalty, although part of that falls on Ballard’s shoulders.

It's easier to coach when you have talent on the roster. The QB position needs to be addressed, it is by far the biggest weakness on this team.

Vinny should be gone tomorrow. No excuses to keep him around

Its hard to coach a garbage QB to throw to a depleted Receiver core

Starting to look like the Colts just didn't want Chad Kelly going to the XFL!

Was he planning on doing so?

Hoyer kind of reminds me of Kerry Collins when we had him.  I just feel he has no pocket mobility at all.

He's also a 'lobber'. His passes barely get there or they're picked.

Doesn't seem to have much pocket awareness either.

Solid QB for a drive or a quarter if your main guy goes down. But a huge liability the longer he's in there.

You think he would have done what? With the game to win he calls 3 fades like we employ Manning, Brady or Luck. He should have put him in higher % throws not fades to the guy we just signed off the PS. What he called today defies the argument if he had better players. Had he ran it up the guy 4 times, we could say that but not how it was called today.

Vinny must go, he just has to. Respect is being lost for Reich and if he doesn’t watch himself, he is going to start seeing locker room troubles.

Sure, it is.  But, at some point, the excuses have to stop.  When the Colts were winning earlier in the year, barely squeaking games out, everyone said, "Just enjoy the win."  I enjoyed the wins, but I think it's also reasonable to point out the flaws and hold both players and coaches accountable.

Today was the Dolphins.  They were giving up 32 PPG.  They have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL.

The Colts supposedly have a great offensive line and a talented trio of backs.  Very little creativity in the running game, and it was under-utilized at the end of the game when the Colts still had time and timeouts.

Might actually get a chance if he does if I was the coach of this team I would have Benched Hoyer at halftime.

the chiefs win doesn’t look very impressive now that tennessee has done it too. we have one impressive win against the texans at home. we are a below average team talent wise with good coaching( although it hasnt been good as of late). we will end up at 8 wins most likely and no playoffs which is worst case scenario as our pick wont be that good.

Honestly the NFL as a whole isn't a great product right now.

Brissett will be back next week and we can all watch those familiar crossing patterns over the middle, the check downs to the RBs and TEs, the handoffs to the RBs and the screen passes to the RBs, TEs and WRs.

I didn't watch one second of yesterday's horrible game (thank god), but just by looking at stats and highlights and who we lost too, we should never use Brian Hoyer again. As a backup, he can't even beat the dolphins if Brissett is injured. He also has no upside. From now on, start Chad Kelly if Brissett misses any more time to see what we have in him. He'll be at least as good as Hoyer anyway with our O-Line and running game. If Brissett comes back, make Kelly his permanent backup and Hoyer the 3rd stringer for the rest of the season and release him after the season is over. The Brian Hoyer Veteran experiment has failed.

    • I think the 3 in a row was in response to what would define the greatest team in the salary cap era. Irsay did say he wanted a team with multiple SB wins when Luck was drafted, and some felt like he was throwing shade at Peyton, maybe yes, maybe not.   There were instances I defended Peyton where it felt like he had little margin for error in playoff games and then instances where I felt he missed some reads and got "happy playoff feet Peyton" in key moments leading to "playoff Peyton" jokes. It was a mixed bag with him but the ultimate stat to me was Peyton's record vs playoff teams in the regular season hovered around .500, against playoff Ds. So, when that record manifested itself in the playoffs, it was not surprising. But people were surprised because a lot of our 12 win seasons were padded with wins against middle of the road teams and the Peyton hype led to higher expectations too.    Plus, the other ignored aspect is with a lot of teams on par at the playoff level, the differences in coaching shined a bit more come playoff time and I do not believe we had a great coaching staff on defense and special teams consistently. Then, they let them play with a little more contact from DBs in the Peyton era come playoff time than the regular season, which was disruptive for a timing offense with a "not so" rocket arm from Peyton, even in his prime compared to a Favre or even Brady.   Factor all of the above factors, our playoff record with Peyton was as expected. The only time we beat a #1, #2 and #3 scoring D was when we ran well, giving our undersized but speedy D a shot to play at max. efficiency and allowing us to minimize our weak special teams.
    • Pathetic division with tough schedule against NFC West and AFC North.. then Eagles and Cowboys have to play top teams of NFC North and NFC South..   WHOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFF   Forget about it, this division is going to be even worse!   But remember, NFC East never had a repeat champion in a decade or so.   Close your eyes, it's not good for viewing.   Cowboys 8-8. Eagles 8-8. Giants 4-12 Redskins 1-15   21 wins, 43 losses.   Favorite spanked kids of all the NFL.   Redskins at least get the #1 overall draft pick, which they missed last draft to finally replace Haskins.
    • It doesn't matter. If you, Colts fans, Jim Irsey believe that Peyton Manning is one of the greatest to ever do it, Colts should have had more than 1 ring to show for it. Jim Irsey even said this. That's why Jimmy stated he wanted like 3 in a row (something of that sort) or Championship dynasty.   Jim Irsey: "the goal is to win three in a row." https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://coltswire.usatoday.com/2019/04/03/indianapolis-colts-jim-irsay-super-bowl-3-in-a-row/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwiw0pWomOHpAhVQm-AKHWscD_oQFjAMegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw2MyBiVLfpYEwTsiTSc_Vcx&ampcf=1&cshid=1591034273453   The NFL even changed rules favoring the offense. Can't jam beyond 5 yards, etc. I know that Peyton alone couldn't couldn't win it all, however, we are talking about Peyton freaking Manning here. Honestly, no excuse. The Miami Dolphins would've sold their stadium to get Peyton Manning with their defense and team which could only beat the Pats.
    • Right. I remember that pick 6 that ended the game.  And how we won a SB with good defense and a running game. Not Until!   We had more Regular Season MVP wins than anyone though.
    • Ummm...if not for a botched onside kick recovery, the Colts would have won 2 as well.
